Kamala Harris was left speechless by this unexpected turn of events

The depths of the insanity in the Kamala Harris campaign is only now coming to light.

Media members no longer have an incentive to cover up for her.

And Kamala Harris was left speechless by this unexpected turn of events.

Kamala Harris and Tim Walz were oblivious to the reality of the situation.

Both Kamala and Walz got blindsided by the news from their campaign staff on Election Night that Donald Trump would defeat them in a decisive fashion.

That was one of the takeaways from Jonathan Allen and Amie Parnes’ new book, Fight: Inside the Wildest Battle for the White House Ever.

Allen and Parnes told journalist Tara Palmeri that Tim Walz was left at a loss for words when his team broke the news that they had lost the election.

A befuddled Walz wondered if the campaign should prepare for recounts, not understanding how thoroughly Trump thrashed them.

“He has no words. And people are kind of explaining to him, same thing with her. And she’s like, are you sure? Have we done a recount? Should we do a recount?” Parnes told Palmeri.

Kamala and Walz never understood they were trailing Trump by significant margins heading into the election.

“They thought that they were going to win. And so, you know, when they come back now and say, ‘Oh, no, we didn’t really have a chance.’ No, that’s not what they were thinking. They thought they were going to win,” Parnes added.

Kamala’s staff also felt misled by senior campaign leadership, who constantly fed them the message that “things were looking good”

Senior advisor David Plouffe epitomized this gaslighting when, on the eve of the election, he told reporters that Kamala was winning.

Allen and Parnes also reported that Kamala Harris allowed herself to get stuck in a bubble where she ignored data and instead looked at the “vibe” at her events and expected victory.

“Kamala Harris was looking at her crowd size, and they felt like the vibe was strong and people were saying, ‘Oh, we have more boots on the ground. We’re doing better in fundraising,'” Parnes stated. “And she bought all of that. She bought the hype, and so did a lot of people in the campaign.”

Plouffe – who was misleading reporters about the state of the race – later admitted that the campaign’s internal polls never showed Kamala in the lead.

“We were behind. I mean, I think it surprised people because there were these public polls that came out in late September, early October, showing us with leads that we never saw,” Plouffe said on Pod Save America.

How this information never filtered down to the candidates, or if they just willfully ignored it, is an unanswered question.

Allen and Parnes also hinted that Kamala was prepping the groundwork for a 2028 campaign by offering up every excuse in the book for why she lost to Donald Trump in 2024.

“She could have won, she told friends, if only the election was later in the calendar — or she got in earlier. In other words, Joe Biden was to blame,” the authors reported.

Not even Kamala’s handlers were buying this nonsense.

“That is f—ing bonkers,” one Harris handler relayed to Allen and Parnes. “If Election Day was October first, we might have actually somehow pulled it off. Shorter was actually better, not longer.”
