The 2024 election will come down to seven battlegrounds.
Democrats have a reason to be nervous.
And Kamala Harris just learned a nasty surprise in this key swing state.
Democrats’ abortion playbook backfires
Democrats thought they could keep Arizona in their column by making the election in the state all about abortion-on-demand.
The Left succeeded in getting a ballot measure before voters that would enshrine abortion-on-demand up until birth in the state’s Constitution.
This ballot measure only requires a majority of voters to approve it.
The measure would also override the state’s moderate law that protects abortion after 15 weeks.
90% of abortions take place after 15 weeks, but Democrats can’t stand if even one abortion gets stopped.
Democrats think abortion helped them win the Gubernatorial and Senate elections in Arizona in 2022.
Leftists believe if they put an abortion-on-demand measure on the ballot, then they can drive up turnout among young, single women to the point that it won’t matter that Arizona is ground zero for the voter rebellion against Kamala Harris’ agenda.
But Democrats are getting a rude awakening out in Arizona.
Polls show the abortion-on-demand ballot measure gets a majority support.
That’s due in part because many voters don’t understand how extreme this initiative is.
However, Democrats are also finding out that putting abortion-on-demand on the ballot wasn’t a silver bullet to rescue Kamala Harris’ political fortunes.
Suburbs revert back to the right
The suburbs around Phoenix were the types of battlegrounds that swung to the left in 2018, 2020, and 2022.
But this year, the Biden-Kamala Harris administration’s failures on crime, immigration, and inflation are front and center in voter’s minds.
And Democrats are finding out that voters in Arizona are supporting Trump in bigger numbers.
“Progressives in Arizona are worried that the state’s abortion-rights ballot measure isn’t giving Democratic candidates the boost they desperately need in the final stretch of the 2024 election,” POLITICO reported. “It’s the latest sign that Democrats are struggling in the Sun Belt state.”
“Battleground suburb voters in Phoenix and Tucson, Arizona, are increasingly telling canvassers and pollsters they plan to vote to overturn the state’s 15-week abortion ban but support former President Donald Trump and other Republicans,” POLITICO reports.
The pro-abortion forces are starting to realize that they can’t save Kamala Harris out in Arizona.
“[Voters are] prioritizing other issues,” a Planned Parenthood senior adviser and spokesperson for Arizona for Abortion Access, Chris Love, told POLITICO. “I hear that a lot of times, even from Planned Parenthood donors, who tell me [they’re voting Republican] because they’re fiscally conservative.”
A recent CBS poll showed the extent of Kamala Harris’ problem.
Donald Trump leads Kamala Harris by three points.

55% of all voters approve of Donald Trump’s plan to mass deport millions of illegal aliens.
71% believe Donald Trump’s policies will decrease border crossings.
And 46% say Trump’s policies will make them financially better off compared to just 30% who say the same about Kamala Harris.
Voters in Arizona – as well as other battleground states – consistently tell pollsters that Donald Trump is offering the agenda that will improve their lives on the issues they care about.
That’s why the Real Clear Politics polling averages show Trump leading Kamala Harris in all seven battleground states.
