Kamala Harris has a secret plan to ban your car

Sep 6, 2024

Kamala Harris wants everyone to think she’s a moderate.

But Kamala Harris is hiding the truth.

And Kamala Harris has a secret plan to ban your car.

Kamala Harris can’t decide if she’s flip flopping

When Kamala Harris ran for President in 2020, she campaigned as a radical leftist.

Kamala Harris wanted to ban fracking, firearms, gas powered cars and private health insurance.

Those positions are politically problematic today.

Kamala Harris’ support for an electric vehicle mandate threatens her support in key industrial states like Michigan and Wisconsin.

Donald Trump slammed Kamala Harris as a flip flopper who couldn’t be trusted.

Axios’ Alex Thompson reported that the Kamala Harris campaign sent out a so-called “fact check” email claiming she disavowed previous positions such as support for mandating all Americans drive electric Kamalamobiles.

“In a lengthy ‘fact-check’ email last week that covered several issues, a campaign spokesperson included a line saying that Harris ‘does not support an electric vehicle mandate’ — suggesting she changed her previous position, without elaborating,” Thompson wrote.

That led to Thompson asking the campaign if Kamala Harris would sign legislation she cosponsored in 2019 to force everyone in America to buy an electric Kamalamobile.

“On Aug. 28 Axios asked the Harris campaign to clarify her position, and whether she would sign or veto a bill she co-sponsored in 2019 that included such a mandate for manufacturers,” Thompson added.

Thompson works for the pro-Kamala Harris Axios, so Thompson even bent over backwards giving the Kamala Harris campaign a week to respond.

Seven days went by, and the Kamala Harris campaign refused to say if she would veto her own bill should it make it to her desk.

“On Tuesday afternoon, Harris’ campaign ultimately declined to comment,” Thompson wrote.

Kamala Harris’ electric vehicle mandate

In 2019, Kamala Harris co-sponsored Senator Jeff Merkley (D-OR) legislation that would have completely banned gas powered cars by the year 2024.

“The Zero-Emission Vehicles Act would set a Federal Zero-Emissions Vehicle standard to boost the market for battery electric vehicles and hydrogen fuel cell vehicles. The standard would require that by 2030, 50% of sales for new passenger vehicles are ZEVs, and ramp up 5% each year to 100% by 2040. The ZEV standard is only applied to the sale of new cars,” a press release from Merkley’s office said.

If she won the Presidency, Kamala Harris promised an even more aggressive push to force Americans to buy electric vehicles.

An archived version of Kamala’s website read that as President she would support “an accelerated model of Senator Merkley’s Zero-Emission Vehicles Act, we will ensure that 50 percent of all new passenger vehicles sold are zero-emission by 2030, and 100 percent are zero-emission by 2035.”

Kamala Harris doesn’t want to take detailed policy positions for precisely this reason.

The best hope Kamala Harris has for victory is running as a blank slate that allows voters to project anything they want onto her.

Campaigning on vibes keeps the race a referendum on Donald Trump, which is the most favorable terrain for Kamala Harris.
