Josh Hawley Drops Bombshell About A Jack Smith Operation That’s “Worse Than Watergate”

Oct 7, 2025

The swamp creatures thought they could hide their worst dirty tricks forever.

They were dead wrong about that.

And Josh Hawley just dropped one bombshell about Jack Smith and a Biden Deep State scandal “worse than Watergate.”

Jack Smith’s secret surveillance operation gets blown wide open

Senator Josh Hawley has seen plenty of Washington, D.C. corruption in his time.

But what he discovered about Special Counsel Jack Smith’s so-called "investigation" into January 6th left even this battle-hardened conservative stunned.

The FBI – working under Smith’s direction – obtained call logs and metadata tied to nine Republican senators and one House representative during their January 6th investigation.

And Hawley was right there on their target list.

"The truth comes out. Biden’s Stasi who claimed to be saving ‘our sacred democracy’ in fact worked overtime to destroy it – all for power," Hawley fired back on social media after the bombshell revelations broke.

But this wasn’t just about collecting evidence.

This was about something far more sinister.

Smith’s team obtained detailed call logs, timestamps, and metadata from these Republican lawmakers – essentially building a surveillance database of Trump’s allies in Congress.

The tracking involved toll records showing which phone numbers they called, call duration and location data, but not the actual content of conversations.

Hawley calls it worse than Watergate – and he’s absolutely right

Hawley didn’t mince words when he got the chance to respond to this constitutional nightmare.

"This is an abuse of power beyond Watergate, beyond J. Edgar Hoover, one that directly strikes at the Constitution, the separation of powers, and the First Amendment," the Missouri senator declared.

And you know what? He’s not being dramatic.

Richard Nixon was taken down by a crew that broke into one office building to spy on Democrats – at least that’s the official story.

Jack Smith used the full power of the federal government to spy on sitting U.S. senators – all because they dared to support Donald Trump and question the 2020 election.

The scope of this surveillance operation makes Watergate look like amateur hour.

"Biden activated the entire government to go after anybody who dared to oppose him," Hawley explained, and that’s exactly what happened here.

The FBI, Department of Justice, and Department of Homeland Security all became weapons pointed at American citizens who committed the unforgivable sin of disagreeing with Joe Biden.

Think about that for a second.

The FBI used court-ordered grand jury subpoenas in 2023 to collect this data from major telephone providers as part of what was originally called "Operation Arctic Frost" – which later became Smith’s election case against Trump.

The pattern of Biden’s police state finally comes into focus

Look, this surveillance scandal didn’t happen in a vacuum.

Hawley connected the dots between Smith’s spying operation and the Biden administration’s broader war on dissent.

They spied on Catholic churches for being too traditional.

They sicced the FBI on parents who showed up to school board meetings to protect their kids from woke indoctrination.

They pressured social media companies to censor anyone who questioned their COVID policies or election procedures.

And now we find out they were secretly tracking the communications of Republican senators who supported Trump.

"They spied on Catholic churches, prosecuted pro-lifers, deployed the FBI against parents at school board meetings – and tried to tap the phones of their political enemies. Including mine," Hawley laid out the pattern perfectly.

This wasn’t about justice or democracy.

This was about building a police state where anyone who opposes the regime gets the full surveillance treatment.

Hawley knows exactly why he ended up in Smith’s crosshairs – he’s a conservative Republican who "vocally opposed Biden and his lawlessness."

That’s it.

That’s the crime in Biden’s America.

Time for accountability – and Hawley isn’t backing down

Here’s what separates fighters like Josh Hawley from the usual Washington politicians who fold at the first sign of pressure.

Instead of running for cover, he’s demanding a full investigation into everyone involved in this surveillance operation.

"We need a full investigation of all involved: who knew about it, who ordered it, and who approved it. Anyone and everyone who violated the law must be prosecuted," Hawley stated clearly.

He’s calling for a special counsel to dig into this mess – someone who can "devote their full attention" to exposing the truth about Biden’s surveillance state.

And Hawley’s right to demand total accountability.

This goes to the heart of whether we still have a constitutional republic or whether we’ve become a banana republic where the party in power uses federal law enforcement to spy on the opposition.

"We’ve got to have total accountability, total transparency and a full accounting of everybody who was involved in this," Hawley insisted.

The American people deserve to know who signed off on spying on their elected representatives.

They deserve to know how high this goes in the Biden administration.

And they deserve to see everyone involved in this constitutional violation prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

The way to save this country is to restore the rule of law – starting with holding the surveillance state accountable for targeting American citizens and their elected representatives.
