Josh Hawley committed one terrible betrayal that left conservatives seeing red

Josh Hawley wants to be one of the future leaders of the Republican Party.

But he made one deal to hand power to Democrats.

And Josh Hawley committed one terrible betrayal that left conservatives seeding red.

Josh Hawley wants to sell out workers to the union bosses

President Donald Trump has transformed the Republican Party into one that represents blue-collar workers.

Misguided politicians have interpreted this as a mandate to make an alliance with Big Labor.

Trump won overwhelming union support for promising to stand for rank-and-file workers, not the union bosses.

U.S. Senator Josh Hawley (R-MO) has been pushing for legislation that would shift money and power to union bosses from the workers they claim to represent.

The labor reform bill he’s developing would give workers less say in the workplace by making it easier for unions to win elections and preventing employers from being able to make their case against a union.

Union bosses would get more power, while workers would lose out under Hawley’s bill.

To add insult to injury, in states like Hawley’s Missouri, workers would be required to pay union dues or be fired just to get or keep a job in a unionized workplace in the private sector because the state has no Right to Work law.

Right to Work laws guarantee that no worker can be forced to pay union dues as a condition of employment.

Josh Hawley tries to cozy up the United Auto Workers

Big Labor is hostile to any Republican Presidential candidate and spends hundreds of millions of dollars every election cycle trying to get Democrats elected.

The United Auto Workers (UAW) opposed Trump in the 2024 Election, even though former President Joe Biden and former Vice President Kamala Harris’ electric vehicle mandates would cost their workers their jobs.

Hawley met with the UAW to sell his labor reform legislation and talk with the union bosses about how they could work with Trump over the next four years after spending big to defeat him.

“Their attitude is interesting. They realize that Donald Trump has won the White House. They don’t want to be shut out for the next four years. They want to actually see something happen. And so, I think they are looking for partners,” Hawley told Semafor.

The AFL-CIO – which the UAW is a part of – is already spending heavily to oppose Trump’s agenda, like shrinking the size of the federal workforce and Tesla CEO Elon Musk’s work with the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).

Hawley claimed that UAW’s union bosses tried to tell him that they didn’t only support Democrats.

But the UAW has endorsed every Democrat who’s run for President this century.

“We could be a working-class party, but we have to deliver. And we’ve got a chance now, with the most pro-labor Republican president of my lifetime,” Hawley claimed. “That’s my message to my fellow Republicans.”

Donald Trump is the most pro-worker President, not the most pro-union boss.

Josh Hawley is trying to curry favor with Big Labor bosses in a misguided effort that will only hurt workers and give more power to Democrats.
