John Rich unleashed a brutal truth that will have network executives scrambling to stop the bleeding

Jul 5, 2025

Country music star John Rich just dragged a broadcast network through the mud.

The left-wing media giant tried to downplay utter savagery.

And John Rich unleashed a brutal truth that will have the network’s executives scrambling to stop the bleeding.

ABC News tries to sanitize MS-13 savagery with soft language

ABC News found itself in hot water after describing the world’s most violent gang using language that wouldn’t be out of place at a country club social.

The network referred to MS-13 as a "clique" in their recent coverage of gang-related arrests, prompting immediate backlash from Americans who know exactly what these animals are capable of.¹

Daily Caller reporter Mary Margaret Olohan called out the absurd terminology on social media, asking "What the heck is ‘an MS-13 clique?’"²

That’s when country music powerhouse John Rich stepped into the ring and delivered a knockout punch that ABC never saw coming.

Rich fired back with a response that perfectly captured what millions of Americans were thinking about ABC’s pathetic attempt to soften the image of these bloodthirsty killers.

"’MS-13 Clique’ Webster’s define ‘clique’ as: ‘a narrow exclusive circle or group of persons, held together by common interests, views, or purposes.’ So in this case, ‘common interests’ would be raping and murdering. Nice @ABC. Real nice," Rich posted on X.³

The Big & Rich frontman wasn’t about to let the mainstream media get away with treating savage gang members like they’re members of a high school debate team.

John Rich has never backed down from speaking truth to power

This isn’t the first time John Rich has called out the liberal establishment for their twisted priorities.

The Nashville-based entertainer has made a career out of speaking uncomfortable truths that the political elite would rather keep buried.

In July 2022, Rich released the politically charged "Progress", a song harshly condemning various "progressive" political ideologies. "Progress" reached No. 1, and stayed there for two consecutive weeks on the all genre iTunes download chart.⁴

Rich followed that up with equally hard-hitting tracks like "I’m Offended" and "Earth To God," proving that real Americans are hungry for artists who aren’t afraid to push back against the woke mob.⁵

A walking talking, red-blooded, flag waving, God fearing conservative who actively campaigns for the Republican Party, Rich is not afraid to speak his mind.⁶

That fearless attitude has made him a favorite among patriots who are sick of entertainers who cave to liberal pressure at the first sign of controversy.

MS-13 "cliques" are responsible for unspeakable horrors

ABC’s attempt to rebrand MS-13 terrorists as harmless "cliques" shows just how out of touch the mainstream media has become with reality.

These aren’t teenagers hanging out at the mall – they’re vicious killers who have turned entire neighborhoods into war zones.

MS-13 gang leaders in the Brentwood area have confessed to orchestrating brutal murders targeting teenagers and young adults they viewed as rivals or threats.⁷

Two of their most heinous crimes involved Kayla Cuevas, 16, and Nisa Mickens, 15, best friends who attended Brentwood High School together before gang members hunted them down and killed them with machetes and baseball bats.⁸

In another sickening case, 15-year-old Javier Castillo was lured away from his community by gang members who pretended to befriend him, only to butcher him with a machete in a remote location.⁹

Does that sound like a "clique" to you?

Trump administration cracks down on MS-13 terrorism

While ABC News tries to make MS-13 sound like a book club, President Donald Trump’s administration is taking decisive action to crush these terrorist organizations.

Attorney General Pam Bondi announced the successful capture of a high-ranking MS-13 leader during a major law enforcement operation.¹⁰

The Trump administration has made it clear that MS-13 and other transnational gangs will be treated as the terrorist organizations they are.

On January 20, 2025, President Donald Trump signed an executive order initiating the process to designate various drug cartels and transnational gangs, including MS-13, as Foreign Terrorist Organizations (FTOs). On February 19, 2025, Secretary of State Marco Rubio formally designated eight criminal organizations, including MS-13, as Foreign Terrorist Organizations.¹¹

That’s the kind of leadership America needs – not media outlets trying to soften the language around machete-wielding murderers.

The media’s dangerous game of protecting criminals

ABC’s attempt to rebrand MS-13 as a "clique" represents everything wrong with today’s mainstream media.

They’re more concerned with protecting the feelings of violent criminals than they are with telling the American people the truth about the threats they face.

Attorney General Pam Bondi said the arrested gang member was "the leader for the East Coast, one of the top three in the entire country, right here in Virginia, living half an hour outside of Washington, DC."¹²

This terrorist was operating in our backyard, and ABC wants to describe his organization like it’s a group of friends who meet for coffee.

John Rich deserves credit for calling out this dangerous nonsense before it could take root in the public consciousness.

The country music star understood that words matter, especially when those words are being used to downplay the severity of threats to American families.

While ABC News scrambles to explain why they thought "clique" was appropriate terminology for a terrorist organization, Rich’s message resonates with millions of Americans who are tired of media manipulation.
