John Kennedy hopes Jasmine Crockett doesn’t change a thing
Jasmine Crockett is emerging as the new face of the Democrat Party.
Democrats face a leadership vacuum following Kamala Harris’ defeat and Joe Biden’s failed Presidency.
Crockett’s filling the void with ability to generate media attention.
But Crockett is drawing cameras and social media clicks for all the wrong reasons.
Crockett launched racist attacks on critics of DEI, claiming they were just “mediocre white boys.”
Crockett also ridiculed Texas Governor Greg Abbott – who is confined to a wheelchair after a tree fell and crushed his spine back in 1984 – as “Governor Hot Wheels.”
Senator John Kennedy (R-LA) was more than happy to see Congresswoman Crockett front-and-center for the Democrat Party.
Kennedy told Newsmax that the Democrat Party elevating lunatics like Crockett was good for the Republican Party but bad for America as a whole.
“They got beat in the election. And I thought they’d hit rock bottom, but apparently rock bottom has a basement,” Kennedy said to host Chris Salcedo. “All this is great for the Republican Party; all this lunacy, but it’s bad for America. And I wish they’d stop it. But, you know, just from a political standpoint, you never interfere with your enemy when he’s kicking his own a**.”
Kennedy said that despite how easy Crockett made it with her mean-spirited and racist rhetoric, he would lean on his Christian faith to make sure he didn’t descend to her level and hate Crockett in return.
“Let me say I don’t hate anybody. When I say my prayers, I ask God, don’t let me hate. It’s hard sometimes in Washington. I don’t know Congresswoman Crockett,” Kennedy added.
Parties in power often suffer rough midterm elections.
But Kennedy said the GOP’s ace in the hole would eventually be when the Democrat Party has to speak and tell voters what they stood for.
“I don’t know her. She’s entitled to her opinion, but I’m entitled to mine. I’ve said this before, I think the Republicans’ secret operation, secret weapon, ought to be called ‘Operation Let Them Speak,'” Kennedy continued.
Polls from Quinnipiac, Rasmussen, NBC and CNN show the Democrat Party’s favorability ratings at 21, 26, 27 and 29 percent respectively.
Kennedy said that he’s thrilled every time Congresswoman Crockett speaks on television or goes viral on social media because it ensures those numbers won’t be going up any time soon.
“As far as I’m concerned, I would turn the congresswoman loose and let her keep talking. She’s making our case for us. She’s a member of the loon wing of the Democratic Party. All Democrats aren’t like that, but the loon wing is in control,” Kennedy concluded.
