Donald Trump needs to clear house and drain the Washington, D.C., Swamp when he takes office.
Trump saw just how necessary that mission was.
And that’s because John Kennedy exposed a woke general for this awful insult of Donald Trump.
Trump’s problem with woke generals
Woke generals like former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley – who testified to Congress that January 6 was an expression of “white rage” – are on the chopping block when Donald Trump takes office.
Joe Biden allowed woke generals to rise to the highest levels of power in the U.S. military where they pushed preferred pronouns and identity politics on the armed forces.
Trump picked Pete Hegseth to serve as Secretary of Defense to help him weed out woke generals.
And Trump is also preparing an executive order to create a “warrior board” to evaluate generals based on their leadership qualities.
Generals who support woke ideology would receive negative reviews and get forced out.
The necessity of this project became apparent when retired Army Maj. Gen. Randy Manner testified before a Senate committee.
Woke General gets a story time reading from Senator John Kennedy
Senator John Kennedy (R-LA) asked Manner about his past comments calling Donald Trump a fascist.
“On October 14th of this year, you went on CNN. I want to read you what you said, make sure I’m accurate. Here’s what you said: ‘President Trump is not like any sane leader. I’m very proud of General Milley for saying that President Trump is a total fascist,’” Kennedy began.
“To Bob Woodward, ‘If he as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs is calling the president a fascist, I’m so proud of him for breaking that barrier. The challenge is because most MAGA Republicans, they don’t understand what fascism is. The reality is that they are, in fact, fascists themselves.’ Did I read that accurately?” Kennedy asked.
“I believe so. Yes,” Manner replied.
As if it made it any better, Manner protested that he was at the hearing to testify about his opposition to Donald Trump enlisting the military in his plan to mass deport illegal aliens.
Kennedy also brought up an October 14 appearance on MSNBC where Manner attacked Trump supporters by falsely claiming they were “absolutely supporting fascism.”
“You think you’re smarter than the American people, don’t you?” Kennedy inquired.
“Absolutely not, Senator. I am here to discuss the use of the military as part of this mass deportation,” Manner answered.
That answer didn’t sit well with Kennedy.
“You think you’re more virtuous than the American people, don’t you, general?” Kennedy added.
“Senator, I’m insulted by your comment,” Manner shot back.
What Kennedy was driving at was the fact that the American people were insulted by deep state generals that undermine the agenda of the duly elected President of the United States.
Trump also clearly learned his lesson from the first term, which is why he settled on Hegseth to run the Defense Department and prepare polices that allow him to oust woke generals like Manner.
