With less than ten days left in office, Biden announced an extension of Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for illegal aliens from Ukraine, El Salvador, Sudan, and Venezuela.
“The Biden administration on Friday announced the extension of deportation protections for hundreds of thousands of foreign nationals from a slew of countries, just weeks before the incoming Trump administration is expected to launch a historic deportation operation.” Fox News reported.
“The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced it is extending Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for El Salvador, Venezuela, Sudan and Ukraine for an additional 18 months beyond their current expirations,” Fox News’ report continued.
TPS amounts to amnesty as the recipients obtain work permits and gain protection from deportation.
Biden’s order is effective amnesty for 1,000,000 migrants that will run up to 2026.
“The moves do not redesignate countries for the status, meaning only those currently protected by TPS are eligible for an extension and no new applications can be received. Venezuela’s extension will apply to approximately 600,000 nationals; El Salvador’s will apply to 232,000; Ukraine’s will apply to approximately 103,000; and Sudan will affect about 1,900 nationals. Venezuela’s extension will run until October 2026, and El Salvador’s will run until September 2026, with both having been scheduled to end in the spring of 2025,” Fox News detailed.
Donald Trump promised mass deportations of illegal aliens living in America.
Voters granted Trump a mandate to fulfill this promise with the landslide win over Kamala Harris.
Joe Biden wants to make it as hard as possible for Trump to fulfill that contract with voters because it will make Trump and the GOP look like failures heading into the 2026 election.
Open borders aren’t just bad politics for Democrats.
Open borders, and allowing tens of millions of illegal aliens into America puts citizens at risk, and now many have been gripped by fear of theft, rape, and murder, following a string of horrific incidents.
Now Biden is acting out to put even more lives at risk just because he’s still angry Donald Trump won a second term.
