Jesse Jackson’s Son Just Destroyed Biden Obama and Clinton for His Father’s Funeral

Mar 10, 2026

Joe Biden picked a fight about his IQ at Jesse Jackson's funeral.

The next day, Jesse Jackson's own son stepped to a microphone and said what the whole room was already thinking.

And what he said about Biden, Obama, and Clinton was brutal.

Jesse Jackson Jr. Had One Thing to Say About Their Speeches

Jesse Jackson Jr. didn't hold back.

Standing before a crowd at his father's Rainbow Push Coalition headquarters in Chicago on Saturday, he delivered a rebuke that no speechwriter could have scripted.

"Yesterday I listened for several hours of three United States presidents who do not know Jesse Jackson," he said.

Three presidents. Several hours. Not one of them actually knew the man they were eulogizing.

Jackson Jr. explained what his father stood for – a "consistent prophetic voice" for the dispossessed, the disrespected, the forgotten. He said his father's "tense relationship with the political order" had nothing to do with whether a president was white or Black.

It had to do with whether that president delivered.

Barack Obama, Joe Biden, and Bill Clinton didn't.

Biden Told the Crowd He Was Smarter Than Most of Them

Here's what actually unfolded in Chicago on Friday, March 6.

Obama used Jesse Jackson's pulpit to attack Trump, warning the crowd about "every day we wake up to some new assault on our democratic institutions" and accusing unnamed people in "high office" of telling Americans to fear each other.

Kamala Harris walked to the microphone and spent her opening breath on herself – declaring she had predicted "a lot about what's happening right now" before she got around to mentioning the man in the casket.

Then Biden took his turn.

He told the crowd he grew up stuttering and that people wrongly assume stutterers are unintelligent. He told them his old neighborhood swimming pool was named after him. He rambled about a friend who needed a gas can to drive to North Carolina because he couldn't stop at Southern gas stations in the old days.

Then he said it.

"It's the one place where people think you're stupid. Oh, really? I'm a hell of a lot smarter than most of you."

People laughed. Biden got irritated. He told them they'd never laugh at someone with a cleft palate or a clubfoot.

He later claimed Africa was going to become "the largest continent in the world" – as if it isn't already – and launched into a story about Nelson Mandela that fell apart before he could finish it.

The crowd that came to honor Jesse Jackson got 83-year-old Joe Biden picking a fight with them about his IQ.

Obama and Biden Turned a Funeral Into a Political Rally and It Blew Up

This isn't new. Democrats have a habit of turning funerals into campaign stops, and the Jackson memorial was a textbook case.

The Paul Wellstone memorial in 2002 is the gold standard. After the Minnesota senator died in a plane crash eleven days before the election, Democrats held a service at Williams Arena that became a partisan rally – complete with the crowd booing Republican Senate Minority Leader Trent Lott when he appeared on the arena screens. Governor Jesse Ventura walked out in disgust, calling the event "deceitful."

The backlash was immediate. A poll taken after the service found that 49% of voters said it made them less likely to vote Democrat. Republicans energized overnight. Norm Coleman won the Senate seat, flipping the chamber and handing Republicans a government trifecta for the next four years.

Jesse Jackson Jr. had actually asked for something different. One day after his father's death in February, he stood before cameras and made a direct request: keep the politics out of it. The services were "welcome to ALL – Democrat, Republican, liberal, and conservative," he said. Come to say thank you. Come with respect.

Obama and Biden showed up anyway and did exactly what he asked them not to.

The Democratic Party Used Jesse Jackson and His Son Knew It

Here's what makes Jackson Jr.'s words cut deeper than a standard family complaint.

He wasn't just criticizing the speeches. He was exposing the whole transaction.

Obama, Biden, and Clinton didn't fly to Chicago to honor his father. They flew to Chicago to use his father's funeral as the only national platform they have left. Democrats have no legislative vehicle, no viable 2028 frontrunner, and no message that breaks through.

So they commandeer funerals.

The Democratic Party spent Friday making Jesse Jackson's death about Donald Trump. His son spent Saturday making it about Jesse Jackson.

One of those was a eulogy. The other was a campaign rally with a casket in the room.

Jesse Jackson Jr. knew the difference. He said so out loud, on camera, in front of everyone.

That's the most honest thing said in Chicago all weekend.
