In another interview, she hinted that violence should be how Democrats win elections.
“I think that you punch,” Crockett said. “I think you punch, I think you’re ok with — you’re ok with punching.”
“But, like, it’s Ted Cruz, I mean, like, this dude has to be knocked over the head, like, hard, right?” she added. “Like, there are no niceties with him, like, at all, like, you go clean off on him, right?”
But Crockett went too far during a recent speech at the 2025 Human Rights Campaign dinner.
During an unhinged rant, Crockett poked fun at Texas Governor Greg Abbott for being in a wheelchair.
Abbott is paralyzed from the waist down due to an injury he suffered in his mid-20s.
Crockett mocked him as “Governor Hot Wheels.”
“You know, a lot of people see you out front fighting, but nobody’s really asking, what do you need to maintain that fight,” she said. “So thank you so much, Morgan, because we in these hot-a** Texas streets.”
“Y’all know we got Governor Hot Wheels down there,” she said to laughter and cheers. “And the only thing hot about him is that he is a hot-a** mess, Honey, so, um, so, yes, yes, yes, yes.”

After she came under fire over her nasty remarks, Crockett claimed she wasn’t referring to the Governor’s use of a wheelchair.
“I wasn’t thinking about the Governor’s condition—I was thinking about the planes, trains, and automobiles he used to transfer migrants into communities led by black Mayors, deliberately stoking tension and fear among the most vulnerable,” she wrote in a statement.
