But Jasmine Crockett flew into a rage when she heard Donald Trump’s hilarious assessment of her intelligence.
Congress created the Department of Education in 1979 during Jimmy Carter’s Presidency.
The Department of Education quickly morphed into a bloated federal bureaucracy that spends more than $60 billion in taxpayer dollars per year.
Despite its massive size and budget, America’s reading and math scores are nearly historical lows.
According to this year’s National Assessment of Educational Progress, 70 percent of 8th graders are below proficient in reading and 72 percent are below proficient in math.
Donald Trump signed an executive order last week calling for the dismantling of the Department of Education.
The order declared that “the experiment of controlling American education through Federal programs and dollars – and the unaccountable bureaucracy those programs and dollars support – has plainly failed our children, our teachers, and our families.”
It directs the Education Secretary “to the maximum extent appropriate and permitted by law, take all necessary steps to facilitate the closure of the Department of Education and return authority over education to the States and local communities while ensuring the effective and uninterrupted delivery of services, programs, and benefits on which Americans rely.”
Of course, Democrats reacted to Trump’s order with outrage.
Representative Jasmine Crockett lashed out at Trump in an interview with CBS.
“I think it’s a bunch of malarkey,” Crockett said.
“It doesn’t really make sense,” she continued. “I don’t think this is really a partisan thing – this is evil vs. good.”
Crockett has been in the spotlight lately over her incendiary and increasingly violent rhetoric directed toward Elon Musk and Republicans.
Pam Bondi put her on notice after she called for “Elon to be taken down.”
Republicans are also moving to censure Crockett in the House after she made fun of Texas Governor Greg Abbott for being in a wheelchair.
During an interview with Newsmax on Wednesday morning, Donald Trump ripped Jasmine Crockett as a “lowlife.”
“She’s a lowlife, and she’s a very low IQ person, and a lowlife,” Trump said. “And I don’t imagine the Democrats are going to have a person like that running their Party,” he continued. “If they do, they’ll never win an election again.”
Trump predicted her quick downfall for being a headache to the Democrat Party.
“I can’t imagine she’s gonna last long,” he said. “To be smart, you do need a brain, you can’t get around with little quips.”
He said Crockett lacks the intelligence needed to be an effective politician and admitted he originally thought she was a comedian.
“She truly is a very low-level person on the very important chart of intelligence,” Trump said.
“At first I thought she was a comedian, I couldn’t believe she was a Member of Congress or whatever she is,” he continued, before adding that “the Democrats are gonna suffer with this one.”

Trump knows Jasmine Crockett is hotheaded.
