Jasmine Crockett has been the Left's darling since she entered Congress.
But one Democrat legend just utterly destroyed her future prospects.
And James Carville dropped one bombshell about Jasmine Crockett that has Democrats in full panic mode.
Carville Drops The Hammer On Crockett's Toxic Comments
James Carville didn't mince words when asked about Jasmine Crockett's Texas Senate bid.
The veteran Democrat strategist torched Crockett's chances during his Politics War Room podcast, pointing to explosive comments that will haunt her in a general election.
"Crockett has said that Hispanics who voted for Trump have a slave mentality," Carville said. "That's not very smart. That will bite you in the a** in a general election."
He's talking about Crockett's December 2024 Vanity Fair interview where she compared Latino Trump supporters to slaves who "hate" themselves.
Trump won 46% of Hispanic voters nationally in 2024.
In Texas, more than a million Latino voters pulled the lever for Trump.
Crockett just called nearly half the Hispanic electorate mentally enslaved.
The "Governor Hot Wheels" Disaster Shows A Pattern
Carville also hammered Crockett for mocking Governor Greg Abbott's wheelchair.
Abbott has been paralyzed since 1984 when a tree fell on him during a run.
Crockett called him "Governor Hot Wheels" during a March 2025 speech in Los Angeles, laughing about his disability to a crowd of LGBTQ activists.
"She made fun of Greg Abbott — who is a comical figure — but not because he's a comical figure and an intellectual dope, but because he was actually in a wheelchair," Carville stated. "That's not right."
The comment sparked bipartisan outrage and a censure resolution in Congress.
Disability rights advocates condemned Crockett's attack.
Carville said the remark showed Crockett cares more about "online fundraising with some Seattle fanatic progressives" than winning over Texas voters.
She's a Twitter warrior playing to coastal elites instead of the voters she needs to win statewide.
Carville: Jim Talarico Would Actually Have A Shot At Winning
Carville endorsed State Representative Jim Talarico in the Democrat primary, arguing electability matters more than ideology.
"I'm for Jim Talarico for, you know, I think Jim's a great guy and all of that, but, basically, I would be for anybody that I thought had the best chance of winning," Carville explained.
"And it's clear to me that Jim would have a much, much better chance of winning the general election than Jasmine Crockett."
The polling backs up Carville's assessment.
An Emerson College poll shows Talarico leading Crockett 47% to 38% among Democrat primary voters.
Talarico wins Hispanic voters 59% to Crockett's meager showing.
White Democrats prefer Talarico 57% to 31%.
General election matchups show Talarico running even or ahead of Republican candidates while Crockett trails every Republican by multiple points.
"I don't think Jasmine's a bad person," Carville said. "And, by the way, I don't think there's much difference in how they would vote. I don't think you get much different product, but if you don't win, you hadn't done s**t."
Crockett Violates The First Rule Of Politics
Carville previously criticized Crockett for talking more about herself than voters.
"You always make it about the voters and never about yourself," Carville stated.
Watch any Crockett speech or interview.
She's always the victim, always the hero, always the center of attention.
She calls Republicans "mediocre white boys" and positions herself as the resistance fighter standing up to Trump.
Texas voters don't care about Crockett's Twitter feuds.
They care about the economy, the border, and keeping their families safe.
Talarico is a former teacher and Presbyterian seminarian who flipped a Trump district in 2018 by talking about kitchen table issues and building coalitions.
That's what wins elections in Texas.
Not calling Hispanic voters mentally enslaved and mocking disabled governors.
Democrats Know Crockett Will Hand Republicans The Seat
Anonymous House Democrats told reporters they're "concerned about electability" with Crockett as the nominee.
"I don't," one House Democrat said when asked if Crockett can win the general election. "And I feel bad saying that."
Democrats desperately need to flip seats in 2026.
Chuck Schumer recruited top-tier candidates in competitive states.
Texas hasn't elected a Democrat to the Senate since 1988.
But Talarico's unique profile gives Democrats an outside shot.
Crockett guarantees they lose by double digits.
She's a Fox News caricature of everything swing voters hate about Democrats.
Republicans would love to run against Crockett.
They'll air her "slave mentality" comments on loop in Hispanic communities.
They'll show her mocking Abbott's wheelchair to suburban moms who vote on character.
They'll paint her as a radical who cares more about going viral than governing.
Because that's exactly what she is.
Carville Delivered The Truth Democrats Need To Hear
Carville has been warning Democrats for years that their messaging and tone are killing them with voters.
He's not some MAGA Republican trying to sabotage the Left.
He's a lifelong Democrat who actually wants his party to win elections.
"So, if you want to win the election, if that's important to you, as it is to me, then you got to be for Jim Talarico," Carville concluded. "It's that simple."
Crockett will probably win the March 3 primary anyway.
She's got higher name recognition and the backing of the progressive base.
Then she'll get crushed in November by whoever emerges from the Republican primary.
Texas Democrats will have thrown away their best chance at a Senate seat in nearly 40 years.
All because they nominated someone who can't stop insulting the very voters she needs to win.
Carville tried to warn them.
