ICE Boston Just Sent One Message to Illegal Aliens That Has Open Border Activists Fuming

Jun 18, 2025

The radical Left is in full meltdown mode over Donald Trump’s immigration enforcement.

They thought they could keep America’s borders wide open forever.

But ICE Boston just sent one message to illegal aliens that has open border activists fuming.

ICE Boston scores another victory against repeat border violators

Immigration and Customs Enforcement in Boston just delivered a crushing blow to the open borders crowd with their latest arrest.

Federal agents nabbed Edwin Antonio Sanchez-Lara, a 34-year-old Dominican national who apparently thought American immigration laws were just suggestions.

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office indictment, Sanchez-Lara was removed from the United States to the Dominican Republic in August 2019. It is alleged that, sometime after his removal, the defendant unlawfully reentered the United States and was encountered on May 11, 2025.

This brazen disregard for America’s sovereignty didn’t sit well with ICE officials.

"Edwin Antonio Sanchez-Lara has allegedly displayed a blatant disregard for American immigration laws," said ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations Boston acting Field Office Director Patricia H. Hyde. "He has already been deported once and apparently returned to live illegally in Brockton. ICE Boston will continue to prioritize public safety by arresting and removing illegal aliens from out New England communities."

The case perfectly illustrates the revolving door problem that has plagued America’s immigration system for decades.

Sanchez-Lara now faces up to two years in federal prison, one year of supervised release, and a fine of up to $250,000 if convicted.

But here’s the real kicker – after he serves his sentence, ICE plans to remove him from the United States once again.

Boston becomes ground zero for immigration enforcement surge

The arrest of Sanchez-Lara is just the tip of the iceberg in what’s becoming a massive crackdown on immigration violations in the Boston area.

ICE Boston has been on an absolute tear lately, systematically targeting repeat offenders who thumb their nose at American immigration law.

Earlier this year, ICE Boston arrested Santo Raul Ramirez-Lara, a 43-year-old unlawfully present Dominican national with four prior removals from the U.S. He had six pending criminal cases in Massachusetts and was accused of possession with intent to distribute cocaine and heroin, possession of Class A drugs, and identity fraud.

The pattern is crystal clear – these aren’t just immigration violations, they’re often connected to serious criminal activity that puts American communities at risk.

In another recent case, ICE Boston and federal partners arrested Emerson Esteban Arias-Polanco, 27, a Dominican national charged with armed robbery. The Norfolk County House of Corrections had refused to honor an ICE detainer and released him from custody, forcing federal agents to track him down later.

This is exactly the kind of sanctuary city nonsense that puts law-abiding Americans in danger.

Democrats’ immigration policies create a revolving door of crime

The explosion of illegal reentry cases in Boston exposes the total failure of the Biden-Harris administration’s immigration policies.

One Dominican national was sentenced to eight months in federal prison after illegally reentering the country. He had been previously convicted for drug distribution and was removed by ERO Boston in June 2021, only to unlawfully reenter again.

When you have people getting deported and coming right back to commit more crimes, that’s not an immigration system – that’s a joke.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office recently announced that Florencio Antonio Nuñez Guerrero, 39, pleaded guilty to unlawful reentry after being deported in March 2017 following a federal sentence for conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute cocaine and heroin.

These cases show that the current penalties for illegal reentry are clearly not enough to deter repeat offenders.

Trump’s enforcement surge delivers results

The good news is that under President Trump’s leadership, ICE is finally getting the tools and support it needs to do its job.

Recent data shows that ICE arrests have more than doubled since Trump took office, with interior enforcement dramatically increasing. Trump border czar Tom Homan said he would like to double the amount of bed space ICE has in detention from 50,000 to 100,000.

This is what real immigration enforcement looks like, not the catch-and-release policies that turned America into a magnet for illegal immigration.

The cases coming out of Boston prove that when ICE agents are allowed to do their jobs without political interference, they can deliver results that make communities safer.

Open border activists can’t handle the truth

The radical Left is absolutely beside itself watching ICE Boston systematically arrest repeat immigration violators.

They want to paint these enforcement actions as somehow unfair or cruel, but the facts speak for themselves.

These aren’t sympathetic cases of families seeking a better life – these are repeat offenders who have been given multiple chances and continue to break the law.

ICE Boston recently led an investigation that arrested 12 Dominican nationals for their role in a large document and benefit fraud scheme. Ten of them were illegally present in the United States, and the operation revealed wire transfers believed to be illicit proceeds of narcotics trafficking and alien smuggling.

When immigration violations are connected to identity theft, drug trafficking, and money laundering, you’re not talking about immigration – you’re talking about organized crime.

America deserves immigration laws that are actually enforced

Cases like Edwin Antonio Sanchez-Lara’s illegal reentry show why Trump’s immigration policies are so crucial for America’s future.

In the third quarter of fiscal year 2024, ICE removed nearly 68,000 individual noncitizens — reflecting a 69% increase over removals during the third quarter in fiscal year 2023.

These numbers prove that when you have leadership that actually believes in enforcing immigration law, you get results.

The era of treating immigration violations like parking tickets is over.

ICE Boston is sending a crystal clear message to anyone thinking about illegally entering or reentering the United States: American immigration laws will be enforced, and violators will face real consequences.

The days of the revolving door are numbered, and it’s about time.
