Fox News host Harris Faulkner wasn’t having any of it on Wednesday.
A Democrat strategist tried to dodge her tough questions and spin his way out of an embarrassing report about his party.
And Harris Faulkner just delivered the brutal truth that left this Democrat strategist scrambling for answers.
Democrats compared to sloths and tortoises in shocking report
The New York Times dropped a bombshell report that Democrats definitely didn’t want to hear.
After conducting 250 focus groups, a Democrat researcher discovered voters see the party as weak and passive.
The findings were devastating for Democrats.
Voters compared Democrats to slow-moving animals like sloths and tortoises.
Meanwhile, Republicans drew comparisons to powerful apex predators like lions and sharks.
This perception problem runs deep for the Democrat Party.
And it explains why Donald Trump continues to dominate the political landscape while Democrats scramble to keep up.
Harris Faulkner decided to confront Democratic strategist Fred Hicks about these damning findings on The Faulkner Focus.
“People called you slow, plotting, passive,” Faulkner told Hicks directly. “I mean, does that describe you as a Democrat?”
Democrat strategist tries to dodge the question
Instead of addressing the embarrassing report, Hicks immediately tried to change the subject.
He pivoted to attacking Donald Trump and the House of Representatives’ recent budget reconciliation bill.
“Well, Harris and Jeremy, I think what we’re losing sight of right now, is why we’re even having this discussion,” Hicks claimed. “And the reason we are having this discussion is that Donald Trump just pushed the Congress to pass a bill that will add over $3 trillion in debt to the U.S. Government.”
The House had just passed a major budget reconciliation bill by a narrow 215-214 vote.
This legislation delivers on Trump’s promises to eliminate taxes on tips and overtime pay.
It also makes the popular 2017 Trump tax cuts permanent for working families.
But Hicks wasn’t interested in discussing how his party is perceived as weak and ineffective.
He continued his rehearsed talking points attacking Trump.
“He is violating due process and challenged in the courts and courts ruling against him left and right including trying to tell institutions of higher education how to manage their business,” Hicks rambled on.
Harris Faulkner cuts through the spin
Faulkner had heard enough of Hicks’ deflection tactics.
She cut him off mid-sentence to deliver a reality check.
“Well, well, hold on a second. You have plenty of time to be up in arms, but you’re all focusing on, you’re navel-gazing and focusing on yourselves trying to fix it, that fake humility,” Faulkner shot back.
She wasn’t finished exposing the Democrats’ strategy of complaints without action.
“Look, that is a catch phrase that Jeremy [Hunt] came up with, but you have got to call it for what it is,” Faulkner continued. “What it is, is you have a lot of complaints about Donald Trump, but you’re not doing anything to go forward other than lawfare.”
The lawfare reference hit home.
Democrats have been relying on activist judges to block Trump’s agenda through nationwide injunctions.
The Supreme Court even held a special oral argument session on May 15 to address this issue.
These injunctions have targeted Trump’s executive orders on birthright citizenship, illegal immigration, and border security.
The truth about Democrat priorities exposed
When Hicks tried to deny the lawfare accusation, his response only proved Faulkner’s point.
“Lawfare? What we’re doing is looking at how to take advantage of this opening and so we can fight for Americans,” Hicks claimed weakly.
But Faulkner delivered the knockout blow.
“Which Americans, the rich Americans?” Faulkner responded. “God love us all. You ignore the average people.”
This exchange perfectly captures why voters see Democrats as passive and out of touch.
While Trump delivers on promises to help working families keep more of their paychecks, Democrats focus on lawsuits and complaints.
The contrast couldn’t be clearer.
Republicans take action to solve problems facing everyday Americans.
Democrats file lawsuits and make excuses.
No wonder voters compare Republicans to lions while Democrats get stuck with the sloth comparison.
The New York Times report reveals a fundamental truth about how Americans view the two parties.
And Fred Hicks’ performance on Fox News only reinforced those perceptions.
When confronted with uncomfortable facts about his party’s image problem, he couldn’t defend it.
Instead, he deflected, dodged, and proved exactly why voters see Democrats as passive and ineffective.
Harris Faulkner’s tough questioning exposed the reality Democrats desperately want to hide.
