Gavin Newsom flew halfway around the world to trash Donald Trump.
The California Governor thought he'd find allies at the elite gathering in Switzerland.
But Gavin Newsom got blindsided by what world leaders actually said about Trump at Davos.
Newsom's Davos Meltdown Goes Viral
Newsom stood in front of reporters at the World Economic Forum in Davos and melted down over European leaders refusing to condemn Trump.
The California Governor launched into an expletive-laced tirade urging world leaders to "stop being complicit" with Trump's policies.
"People are rolling over. I should have brought a bunch of knee pads for all the world leaders," Newsom told reporters. "It's just pathetic."
Newsom's rage escalated as he attacked leaders for what he called their cowardice in the face of Trump's push to acquire Greenland and his threat of tariffs against allies who oppose him.
"This b——- diplomacy of sort of niceties, somehow we're all going to figure it out, saying one thing privately and saying another publicly. Have some spine," Newsom fired off.
The Democratic Governor even mocked Venezuelan opposition leader María Corina Machado for gifting her Nobel Peace Prize to Trump after the arrest of dictator Nicolás Maduro.
"Nobel prizes that are being given away. It's just pathetic," Newsom continued. "And I hope people understand how pathetic they look on the world stage."
But Newsom's whole performance crashed and burned when world leaders started speaking publicly.
World Leaders Praise Trump's Policies At Davos
NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte announced during a forum discussion that "Trump is right" on Greenland and that NATO and European nations must do more "collectively" to ensure Arctic security.
That directly contradicted Newsom's claim that diplomatic engagement with Trump "doesn't work."
Rutte went even further in a private text message to Trump that the President shared publicly, writing "Dear Donald — what you accomplished in Syria today is incredible."
The NATO chief added he would "use my media engagements in Davos to highlight your work" in Syria, Gaza, and Ukraine.
NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang delivered the knockout blow to Newsom's narrative at his own Davos appearance.
Huang championed the exact agenda Trump has been pushing — fusing American manufacturing with artificial intelligence leadership.
The tech billionaire has repeatedly praised Trump's policies in recent months, crediting the President's push to "reindustrialize the United States" for enabling massive domestic investments in chip factories and AI infrastructure.

At Davos, Huang told European leaders they need to integrate AI with their industrial base to compete with America's tech dominance.
That's the same vision Trump campaigned on and is now executing — bringing advanced manufacturing back to American soil.

Newsom's PAC Sells Trump "Kneepads" While Leaders Support President
The irony gets even better.
Reporters discovered Newsom's political action committee Campaign for Democracy is literally selling red kneepads on its website with the tagline "all your groveling to Trump needs."
So while Newsom was in Davos lecturing world leaders about standing up to Trump, his own PAC was fundraising off the exact opposite message.
Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent utterly destroyed Newsom in response.

Bessent told reporters that despite disagreements over Greenland, U.S.-European relations remain fundamentally strong.
Newsom flew to Davos expecting to find a chorus of Trump critics.
Instead, he found world leaders praising the President's leadership, NATO officials defending his Arctic strategy, and tech CEOs crediting his policies for massive American investments.
This is the same pattern Democrats and the media have followed since Trump came down that escalator in 2015.
They predict Trump will be isolated, rejected, humiliated on the world stage.
Then reality hits and foreign leaders are texting him praise, business titans are crediting his policies for trillion-dollar investments, and even skeptical allies are finding common ground.
Remember when they said Trump would start World War III?
Now NATO's top official is publicly backing his Arctic strategy and thanking him for his work in Syria, Gaza, and Ukraine.
Remember when they said Trump's economic policies would crash the economy?
Now the CEO of America's most valuable tech company is explaining how Trump's vision made half a trillion dollars in U.S. manufacturing possible.
Newsom can scream about "kneepads" and "pathetic" leaders all he wants.
The California Governor's angry rant backfired spectacularly when the actual facts came out.
Trump's policies are winning support from allies, business leaders, and even skeptical Europeans — no matter how loud Newsom screams about it.
