Media does damage control after Biden debate disaster
Jake Tapper and fellow journalist Alex Thompson just released a new book titled “Original Sin: President Biden’s Decline, Its Cover-Up, and His Disastrous Choice to Run Again,” detailing the former President’s mental decline.
The book contains several bombshell revelations, including that Biden’s aides had a secret plan to get the 82-year-old a wheelchair in the event of his reelection.
It also reveals Biden failed to recognize Hollywood star George Clooney at a Los Angeles fundraising event shortly before the disastrous June 27 debate that effectively ended his reelection campaign.
Fox News host John Roberts didn’t mince words when discussing the book on air.
“There’s a new book detailing the cover-up behind former President Biden’s physical and mental decline,” Roberts said. “The book makes the stunning claim that his aides had a secret plan to get the 82-year-old a wheelchair in the event of his reelection.”
Roberts noted that Biden’s decline “seemed very apparent to Fox News viewers, yet the liberal media tied itself in knots in trying to either dismiss this or cover it up.”

Fox News contributor calls out Tapper’s hypocrisy
Fox News contributor Joe Concha was even more direct, calling out Tapper’s apparent attempt to rewrite history after years of downplaying Biden’s deteriorating cognitive state.
“If this was a cover-up, no one did a very good job of it, right? Because as you said, we’ve been talking about that for years on this network,” Concha stated.
He expressed particular frustration with Tapper’s role in defending Biden during his presidency.
“It is just patently insulting that Jake Tapper is trying to rewrite history while lining his own pockets in the process,” Concha declared. “He was very much a part of the media cabal who defended Biden.”
Concha recalled how Tapper blamed Biden’s obvious mental decline on a “stutter” and even called Lara Trump a “conspiracy theorist” when she appeared on his show and pointed out Biden’s unfitness for office.
“Now that Joe Biden is expendable in the eyes of Democrats, you know the books are going to come, the leaks are going to come, it’s all a CYA for everybody involved,” Concha added. “I’m not calling brave here, I’m calling, you know what, this is apparent and now people are trying to profit off of it.”
CNN’s protection of Biden finally exposed
For years, CNN and other mainstream media outlets ran cover for Biden, dismissing legitimate concerns about his cognitive abilities as “right-wing conspiracy theories.”
Meanwhile, clips of Biden appearing confused, lost, or unable to complete sentences circulated widely on social media and conservative outlets.
The infamous June 27 debate at Georgia Tech in Atlanta, which Concha attended, finally made Biden’s decline impossible for even friendly media to ignore. Biden appeared disoriented and struggled to form coherent answers to basic questions.
Just weeks later, Biden withdrew from the presidential race.
Now that Biden is no longer politically relevant, journalists like Tapper apparently feel comfortable revealing what they likely knew all along – that the former president was suffering from serious cognitive decline while in office.
The timing of Tapper’s book raises serious questions about media ethics and whether certain journalists prioritized political considerations over their duty to inform the American public about the mental fitness of the Commander-in-Chief.
Concha’s criticism highlights a pattern where media figures who helped cover up Biden’s problems are now attempting to profit from revealing those same issues once Biden is out of power.
For millions of Americans who saw Biden’s decline with their own eyes, these belated “revelations” from CNN figures like Tapper only confirm what they already knew – many in the media were more interested in protecting a Democrat president than reporting the truth.
