Girlfriend gets SWAT team protection while living in different city
Alexis Wilkins, country singer and girlfriend of FBI Director Kash Patel, has been given a full FBI protection detail consisting of elite agents typically assigned to SWAT teams.
The bureau claims hundreds of credible death threats justify the protection.
Former FBI agents aren't buying it.
These aren't desk agents pushing paper – they're SWAT-trained operators who normally handle the most dangerous situations the FBI faces.

Now they're protecting a girlfriend who doesn't even live in the same city as Patel.
"There is no legitimate justification for this," Christopher O'Leary, a former senior FBI agent, told MS NOW. "This is a clear abuse of position and misuse of government resources."²
O'Leary pointed out the fundamental problem with this arrangement.
"She is not his spouse, does not live in the same house or even the same city," O'Leary explained.³
The couple has been dating for three years, but Wilkins maintains her own residence in Nashville while Patel works in Washington, D.C.
Patel's history of questionable spending keeps growing
Remember when Patel spent years trashing FBI Director Christopher Wray for using government jets?
That was before Patel had access to the same $60 million plane.
Last month, reports confirmed Patel flew that jet to Pennsylvania so he could watch his girlfriend sing the national anthem at a wrestling event.
Your tax dollars paid for what basically amounts to an expensive date night.
Now we find out elite SWAT agents are guarding his girlfriend full-time.

Patel's using the FBI like his personal concierge service.
Attorney General Pam Bondi swore in Patel as FBI Director on February 21, 2025, after a narrow 51-49 Senate confirmation vote.
Only two Republicans – Senators Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski – voted against his confirmation.
Patel promised to clean up what he called a corrupt and politicized FBI.
Using elite counterterrorism agents to protect your girlfriend in Nashville while you work in Washington, D.C. doesn't exactly fit that mission.
The FBI won't say much beyond "safety concerns."
But here's the real question nobody at the bureau wants to answer – why does a girlfriend get the same protection level as the actual spouse of an FBI Director?
Wilkins held the Bhagavad Gita during Patel's swearing-in ceremony back in February.
They've been dating for three years and their relationship is public knowledge.
But giving her a protection detail staffed by elite SWAT agents crosses a line that former FBI officials say has never been crossed before.
This is government waste and abuse that drives Americans up the wall.
SWAT-trained FBI agents who should be stopping terrorists and organized crime rings are instead providing security for a country singer because she's dating the director.
