Florida Attorney General just exposed nightmare Trump shooting coverup details that will have Biden officials sweating bullets

Jun 28, 2025

The Biden administration’s corruption ran deeper than anyone imagined.

New allegations suggest just how far they went to protect their political interests.

And Florida Attorney General just exposed one nightmare scenario that left Biden DOJ officials scrambling to cover their tracks.

Florida AG drops bombshell about Biden administration’s obstruction

Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier dropped a bombshell revelation that the Biden administration obstructed his investigation into would-be Trump assassin Ryan Routh.

After more than 200 days of federal stonewalling that began under the Biden administration, Uthmeier announced that his office is charging Routh for the attempted first-degree murder of President Trump as well as a charge for terrorism.

The September 15, 2024 assassination attempt occurred while Trump was golfing at his West Palm Beach club.

Routh allegedly hid in a bush on the outside of the golf course with a semi-automatic rifle before being spotted by a Secret Service agent.

What Uthmeier revealed next about the Biden administration’s response will make every American’s blood boil.

Biden and his attorney general worked to frustrate Florida’s efforts and block their investigation into the man who crossed into the state and attempted to commit political violence against a Florida resident.

The obstruction was so severe that Florida officials were denied the ability to conduct their own investigation parallel to the federal case.

Biden administration blocked access to critical evidence

The scope of Biden administration DOJ officials’ obstruction was far worse than initially reported.

In a bombshell revelation on the Benny Johnson show, Uthmeier revealed the shocking extent of the Biden administration’s cover-up.

"They obstructed our investigation. They would not allow us access to the crime scene, they would not share witness interviews, evidentiary documents," Uthmeier stated.

This meant Florida investigators were completely shut out from conducting their own investigation into an assassination attempt that occurred in their own state.

Uthmeier’s office, as well as law enforcement partners, were met with major roadblocks in prosecuting this case during Biden’s term.

"We started trying to prosecute this in Florida while the Biden administration was still in place under state law challenges. We did not trust the federal government to go and do their job so we wanted to do it in Florida," Uthmeier explained on the Benny Johnson show.

The Biden administration essentially treated Florida like a hostile foreign power rather than a sovereign state with legitimate law enforcement interests.

Governor Ron DeSantis had signed an executive order directing the Florida Attorney General’s office to work with law enforcement partners and investigate Routh.

But Biden’s Department of Justice moved quickly to block any state involvement in the case.

The federal prosecutors initially only charged Routh with gun crimes, not the more serious assassination charges.

Initially, federal prosecutors only charged Routh with federal gun crimes, not the more serious assassination charges.

Everything changed when Trump returned to power

The contrast between the Biden and Trump administrations could not be more stark.

"Now all that changed when AG Bondi and Kash Patel took over. We’ve enjoyed working with them. We were able to move forward with our investigation," Uthmeier revealed.

The leadership of Attorney General Pam Bondi and FBI Director Kash Patel was instrumental in preserving Florida’s sovereign authority to do what is right and bring justice where it is due.

Under Attorney General Bondi and the Trump administration and FBI director Patel, it’s been a breath of fresh air, very different. They’ve been transparent, cooperative.

Within weeks of Trump taking office, Florida was finally able to file state charges against Routh for attempted first-degree murder and terrorism.

"Enforcing the law should not be political. It should not matter what party’s in charge. We should want to protect our citizens especially former presidents and candidates and thanks be to God Trump is our president today," Uthmeier declared.

The difference in cooperation between the two administrations raises serious questions about Biden’s motives for obstructing the investigation.

Was Biden trying to protect his administration from scrutiny over their handling of threats against Trump?

Did they want to control the narrative around the assassination attempt?

Evidence reveals Routh’s deadly plot

Recent court filings have revealed the full extent of Routh’s assassination plot.

Federal prosecutors recently revealed Routh attempted to obtain military-grade weapons, including rocket launchers, from a Ukrainian contact in his assassination plot.

According to court documents, Routh allegedly messaged "send me a rpg [rocket-propelled grenade] or stinger, and I will see what we can do… [Trump] is not good for Ukraine."

This evidence suggests Routh’s assassination attempt was tied to his opposition to Trump’s foreign policy positions, particularly regarding Ukraine.

Routh reportedly traveled to Ukraine to recruit soldiers to fight the Russians and even attempted to aid Afghan refugees travel to Ukraine via Iran for that purpose.

The Biden administration’s obstruction likely prevented Florida investigators from developing this crucial background information that could help establish motive and prevent future attacks.

Former Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody sued the DOJ, alleging the department blocked the state from investigating the assassination attempt.

Moody argued that forcing Florida to wait until federal prosecution was complete would make the state’s case much harder to prove at trial because evidence disappears and memories fade.

Justice may finally be served in Trump shooting attempt

Attempting to take the life of a former president and a leading presidential candidate isn’t just an attack on one man. This was a political attack against our republican form of government and our shared American values, Uthmeier declared.

The Florida charges ensure that Routh will face the full weight of justice for his actions.

We cannot allow justice to be delayed or denied, and thanks to the president, our U.S. Attorney General, and the FBI director, we are moving forward in our pursuit.

The Biden administration’s obstruction of this investigation represents one of the most brazen examples of political weaponization of the justice system.

They were willing to interfere with a state’s legitimate investigation into an assassination attempt against their political opponent.

This behavior is exactly what Americans rejected when they elected Donald Trump back to the White House in a landslide victory.

We want a justice system that is willing to pursue justice no matter what party is in charge, Uthmeier stated.

Florida officials are "fully supporting" the federal investigation while maintaining their ability to pursue state charges.

"Right now we’re fully supporting theirs. Don’t want to do anything to get out ahead of them or mess up what they’re doing, but we will pursue rule of law again thankfully with a collaborative federal government," Uthmeier explained.

The contrast between Biden administration officials’ obstruction and Trump’s cooperation shows the American people made the right choice in November.
