Elon Musk said two words to Don Lemon that were the last thing Lemon wanted to hear

Elon Musk gave fired ex-CNN host Don Lemon a second chance.

But it didn’t last long at all.

And Elon Musk said two words to Don Lemon that were the last thing Lemon wanted to hear.

Elon Musk rescues Lemon from disgrace

CNN fired Don Lemon in disgrace after Lemon’s disastrous run as co-host of CNN This Morning.

Lemon often clashed with his female co-hosts, and his treatment of them and comments about Nikki Haley being past her sexual prime eventually led to his ouster.

Musk then contracted with Lemon for a show to be streamed on X similar to the interview program Tucker Carlson produces for the app.

Lemon recorded an interview with Musk for the first episode of his new show.

And then all hell broke loose.

Musk fires Lemon

Lemon announced on X that Musk canceled the contract for the show after the interview.

The former CNN host claimed the two had a wide-ranging and respectful conversation.

“Elon Musk has canceled the partnership I had with X, which they announced as part of their public commitment to amplifying more diverse voices on their platform. He informed me of his decision hours after an interview I conducted with him on Friday. That interview will remain the premiere episode of The Don Lemon Show on Monday, March 18,” a statement from Lemon read.

“There were no restrictions on the interview that he willingly agreed to, and my questions were respectful and wide ranging, covering everything from SpaceX to the presidential election. We had a good conversation. Clearly he felt differently. His commitment to a global town square where all questions can be asked and all ideas can be shared seems not to include questions of him from people like me,” Lemon added.

Musk responds to Lemon

But Musk had a completely different version of events.

Musk wrote that Lemon conducted a CNN-style interview with gotcha questions and rude interruptions, like disgraced former CNN boss Jeff Zucker would feed to his hosts.

This wasn’t the show Musk paid for; he wanted an authentic version of Don Lemon, but Musk did say that Lemon was perfectly free to use X to broadcast his content and build his viewer base.

“His approach was basically just ‘CNN, but on social media’, which doesn’t work, as evidenced by the fact that CNN is dying,” Musk wrote.

“And, instead of it being the real Don Lemon, it was really just Jeff Zucker talking through Don, so lacked authenticity,” Musk added.

“All this said, Lemon/Zucker are of course welcome to build their viewership on this platform along with everyone else,” Musk concluded.

Reports emerge about why Musk canned Lemon

Leftwing activist Kara Swisher reported that Musk sent a text to Lemon that simply read “contract terminated” following the interview.

Musk reportedly didn’t appreciate that Lemon hounded him with questions about drug use, including several about ketamine.

Liberals like Lemon and Swisher despise Musk because Musk bought Twitter and eliminated the censorship regime that allowed Democrats to ban and silence their political opponents like Donald Trump.

Musk feels that Lemon used Musk’s money to try and embarrass him instead of asking him questions in good faith.

Musk never banned Lemon; he just isn’t paying Lemon for a show based on the premise that Lemon isn’t delivering the content Musk contracted for.
