Democrats have been lying about where taxpayer dollars for healthcare go.
They assured voters illegal aliens weren't getting a dime.
And Dr Oz just caught Democrats red-handed with this shocking Medicaid audit he performed for Trump.
Dr. Oz uncovers billion-dollar illegal alien healthcare scheme
Trump Administration CMS Administrator Dr. Mehmet Oz dropped a bombshell that has Democrats scrambling to cover their tracks.
His agency launched surprise audits of state Medicaid programs and discovered what many conservatives suspected all along.
More than $1 billion in federal taxpayer money went straight to healthcare for illegal aliens — and that's just from six Democrat-run states.¹
"Based on our initial set of audits, more than $1B of federal taxpayer dollars were being spent on funding Medicaid for illegal immigrants," Dr. Oz posted on X. "And my team is getting it back."²
The preliminary CMS audit revealed the stunning breakdown.
California topped the list at a staggering $1.31 billion in federal Medicaid funds illegally used to cover illegal aliens.³
Illinois came in second with nearly $30 million in improper spending.⁴
Oregon spent over $5 million in federal funds on illegal alien healthcare, while Washington state burned through $2.4 million and Washington, D.C. wasted $2.1 million.⁵
Colorado rounds out the list with $1.5 million in taxpayer dollars diverted to people with no legal right to be in the country.⁶
Federal law is crystal clear — Medicaid funds can only cover emergency treatment for illegal aliens, not comprehensive healthcare.⁷
States can build their own programs for illegal aliens using state tax dollars, but federal money is strictly off limits.⁸
Democrats ignored the law and did it anyway.
"Whether willful or not, the states' conduct highlights a terrifying reality: American taxpayers have been footing the bill for illegal immigrants' Medicaid coverage, despite many Democrats and the media insisting otherwise," Dr. Oz stated.⁹
The government shutdown connection nobody is talking about
The timing of this revelation couldn't be more explosive.
Democrats are currently holding the government hostage over healthcare funding.
They're demanding the repeal of President Trump's Working Families Tax Cuts legislation to restore funding for the government.¹⁰
That law strengthened the government's ability to prevent federal dollars from subsidizing healthcare for illegal aliens.¹¹
"Democrats are demanding the repeal of the President's Working Families Tax Cuts legislation in order for their votes to reopen the government," Dr. Oz explained. "This law wisely strengthened our ability to limit federal dollars from being spent on health care for illegal immigrants."¹²
"Until Democrats explicitly drop that demand, they're blatantly holding the government hostage over giving Medicaid to illegal immigrants," he added.¹³
The pattern is unmistakable.
Democrats created state programs to cover illegal aliens, then secretly funneled federal money into those supposedly state-funded programs.
Some of the illegal aliens receiving coverage have criminal records including murder and assault.¹⁴
California's program alone is projected to cost $8.4 billion this year — more than $5 billion over initial estimates.¹⁵
The Golden State became the first to offer free taxpayer-funded healthcare through Medicaid to all illegal aliens in the state.¹⁶
California financed this expansion through budget gimmicks designed to draw down increased federal funding, effectively making American taxpayers pick up the tab.¹⁷
The scheme works like this: states tax Medicaid insurers, then make higher payments to those same insurers with that tax revenue.
The higher payments let states claim additional federal matching dollars.
These federal funds leave states with surplus money to spend elsewhere — including on illegal alien healthcare programs that federal law prohibits.¹⁸
States caught returning the money prove guilt
Dr. Oz revealed the most damning evidence yet.
Many states began refunding the money as soon as CMS notified them of the audit findings.¹⁹
"We notified the states, and many have begun refunding the money," Dr. Oz said. "But what if we had never asked?"²⁰
Washington, D.C.'s Medicaid director admitted CMS identified administrative expenses for the district's illegal alien program that shouldn't have been billed to the federal government.²¹
The district plans to pay back $654,014 by mid-November.²²
States don't voluntarily return hundreds of millions of dollars unless they know they got caught breaking the law.
Dr. Oz noted that hundreds of millions of dollars have already been returned by audited states.²³
The voluntary refunds speak volumes about whether these states knew they were violating federal law.
California tried denying everything despite the audit evidence.²⁴
Governor Gavin Newsom's office called the allegations "false" even as other states were cutting checks to return the illegally spent federal funds.²⁵
The hypocrisy runs deeper.
Illinois Governor JB Pritzker recently proposed cutting his state's four-year-old illegal alien healthcare program due to ballooning costs.²⁶
Newsom announced he would help reduce a $12 billion deficit by freezing healthcare coverage for illegal aliens living in California.²⁷
They expanded these programs with federal money they weren't supposed to use, and now they're cutting them because they can't afford the state-funded versions.
The Trump Administration is demanding full accountability.
CMS launched an unprecedented oversight initiative requiring states to investigate Medicaid enrollees whose citizenship or immigration status can't be confirmed through federal databases.²⁸
The agency is providing states with monthly enrollment reports and demanding verification of citizenship or immigration status.²⁹
Dr. Oz made the stakes clear: "Every dollar misspent is a dollar taken away from an eligible, vulnerable individual in need of Medicaid and CHIP."³⁰
Democrats bet American taxpayers wouldn't notice $1 billion going to illegal aliens.
Dr. Oz proved them wrong.
