Oprah Winfrey endorsed Kamala Harris for President.
But Donald Trump has still known Oprah for decades.
And Donald Trump revealed Oprah had one sad reaction to Kamala Harris’ embarrassing meltdown.
Trump says Oprah mortified by Kamala Harris’ town hall performance
Kamala Harris’ handlers hoped Kamala’s scheduled town hall with Oprah would act as a campaign “moment.”
They were right.
Just not in the way they hoped.
Even in the friendliest of settings, Kamala Harris struggled to deliver coherent answers and avoided any specifics such as how she would combat the inflation crisis she created.
In an interview with Breitbart News, Trump mocked Kamala Harris’ performance, saying Oprah wanted to hide because Kamala bombed so badly.
“She didn’t have an answer to anything, and she made a fool of herself on Oprah,” Trump told Breitbart. “Oprah wanted to crawl under the table — she was embarrassed by it.”
Oprah cringed at Kamala Harris’ humiliating display
At one point in the town hall, Kamala Harris launched into an unprompted monologue about trying to untie the country.
It devolved into one of Kamala’s classic word salads.
“Let’s come together with [pause] the character that we are so proud of about who we are, which is we are an optimistic people. We are an optimistic people. Americans by character are people who have dreams and ambitions and aspirations. We believe in what is possible, we believe in what can be, and we believe in fighting for that,” Kamala Harris stated.
“That’s how– that’s how we came into being, because the people before us understood that one of the greatest expressions [pause] for the love of our country, one of the greatest expressions of patriotism is to fight for the ideals of who we are, which includes freedom to make decisions about your own body, freedom to be safe from gun violence, freedom to have access to the ballot box, freedom to be who you are and just be the love, who you love, openly and with pride. Freedom to just be,” Kamala Harris added.
Oprah could only muster a “Hmm” in response.
Trump’s relationship with Oprah
Trump and Oprah were friends for decades before Oprah abandoned Trump over his run for President as a Republican.
“I know Oprah better than she does because, before I was in politics, Oprah and I had a great relationship,” Trump explained. “She was at Mar-a-Lago many times.”
Trump told Breitbart how he hosted the funeral for Roger King – the man who got Oprah started in syndication as a talk show host – at Mar-a-Lago in 2007.
“Politics can make a lot of enemies out of what were once friends,” Trump added. “But, Oprah was at Mar-a-Lago numerous times for very big events she gave, but the biggest was the funeral of Roger King of King World, who was a great guy. That was arranged by Oprah, who said, ‘This is the most beautiful place; can we have his funeral here?’ You know, Roger King was responsible for Oprah.”
Oprah spoke at the Democrat Convention and hosted a town hall in Michigan with Kamala Harris.
But based on how Oprah reacted to Kamala’s answers at the town hall, Oprah likely realized she made a major mistake.
