Donald Trump took office and hit the ground running.
The scope of Trump’s actions left the swamp dazed and confused.
And Donald Trump kept one promise that left supporters grinning from ear to ear.
Donald Trump pardons pro-Life political prisoners
Donald Trump pardoned what he called the “J6 hostages” on day one.
Trump signed 1,500 pardons and commutations for supporters targeted by the weaponized Biden Justice Department for unfair prosecution and sentencing in the show trials Biden’s prosecutors staged in Washington, D.C.
The fact that Trump kept a day one promise raised the hopes of conservatives that Trump would also pardon the pro-Lifers Biden held hostage in a separate round of political persecutions.
Joe Biden’s FBI rounded up and arrested pro-Life advocates simply for praying in front of abortion clinics.
Conservatives urged Trump to grant clemency to these political prisoners.
“They have been heartened during their imprisonment and unjust prosecutions by your repeated messages to them during your campaign, urging them to persevere until you were able to take office, review their cases, and free them,” the Thomas More Society wrote to Trump in a January letter.
“I hope President Trump will shortly pardon the pro-life prisoners unjustly targeted & jailed by the Biden Administration,” Republican Missouri Senator Josh Hawley wrote on social media on January 22. “They deserve to be free.”
Donald Trump was true to his word and signed pardons for the pro-Life advocates unjustly imprisoned by the Biden administration.
The Daily Wire reported that Trump signed pardons for “Lauren Handy (57 months in prison), John Hinshaw (21 months), Jonathan Darnell (34 months), Herb Geraghty (27 months), Jean Marshall (24 months), Joan Bell (27 months), Paulette Harlow (24 months), Bevelyn Williams (41 months), Heather Idoni (24 months), and Calvin Zastrow (6 months).”
Trump told reporters when signing the pardons that he was righting a wrong to further end the weaponization of the government against political opponents.
“They should not have been prosecuted,” Trump declared, calling the recipients “peaceful pro-Life protesters.”
Donald Trump was the most high profile victim of the weaponized government.
Joe Biden and a host of partisan Democrat prosecutors tried to jail Donald Trump as an act of election interference.
The January 6 defendants attracted the most attention, as the weaponized Justice Department threw the book at Trump supporters to make an example out of them to show the price of supporting Donald Trump and protesting Biden.
But the arrest and incarceration of pro-Life advocates for the simple act of praying to end abortion was an equally egregious attempt to crush political opposition through unjust and unequal law enforcement.
The law the Biden administration used to arrest these pro-Lifer activists – the so-called “FACE” Act – also makes it a crime to obstruct crisis pregnancy centers.
Biden never jailed any allies for that.
Donald Trump promised to end the weaponization of the government.
The pardon of unjustly persecuted pro-Life advocates is a major step towards accomplishing that goal.
