They pack their states full of people who have no legal right to be here, then use those inflated population numbers to grab extra seats in Congress at the expense of states that actually follow immigration law.
It’s the political equivalent of stuffing the ballot box, except it’s been happening in broad daylight with the blessing of the federal bureaucracy.
Think about the pure arrogance of this scheme: states that openly defy federal immigration law get rewarded with more political power, while states that respect the rule of law get punished.
DeSantis spelled out exactly how this rigged game has been robbing Americans of their rightful representation.
"I would love for them to redo the census for ’26. My legislature will redistrict those lines, we’ll get it to where it’s fair. But as it’s right now, this country is not fairly apportioned. I’ve got so many more millions of people in Florida that have representation because of that flawed census," he explained.³

Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene isn’t waiting around for the political establishment to get comfortable with this idea.

Greene revealed she had spoken directly with President Trump about her revolutionary bill that would force an immediate nationwide recount.
"My bill will require the U.S. Census Bureau to conduct a new census immediately upon enactment of the bill," Greene announced. "In conducting the new census of the U.S. population, it shall require questions determining the citizenship of each individual, and count US citizens only."⁴

"Upon completion of the census, the bill will direct states to immediately begin a redistricting of all U.S. House seats process using only the population of United States citizens," Greene added.⁵

States like California, New York, and Illinois have built their congressional delegations on the backs of people who can’t legally vote, while states full of actual American citizens have been systematically underrepresented for decades.

"I think it’s gonna do very well … It’s captivated the country. Everybody wants it," Trump said with the kind of certainty that comes from understanding what real Americans actually want.⁶
"It’s gonna get in, it’s gonna pass and we’re gonna be very happy," he continued.⁷
And why shouldn’t it pass?
This isn’t some radical idea – it’s basic common sense that only American citizens should determine American representation.

Democrats aren’t fighting this proposal because they care about "accurate representation" – they’re fighting it because their entire political strategy depends on maintaining this rigged system.
Without the ability to count illegal immigrants for congressional apportionment, states like California would lose massive chunks of their political influence overnight.
That means fewer Democrat seats in Congress, less influence over presidential elections, and a fundamental shift in political power back toward states that actually respect American law.
The timing couldn’t be more perfect either, with the 2026 midterm elections approaching fast.
