It’s a new day in America following Donald Trump’s landslide election win.
Some Democrats are waking up to this fact.
And Donald Trump got a surprising endorsement from this top Democrat.
Donald Trump fulfills key campaign promise
Donald Trump promised to “make America healthy again” letting noted activist Robert F. Kennedy Jr. “go wild on health.”
Kennedy dropping out of the Presidential race and endorsing Trump represented a key shift, as Kennedy had been polling in the mid-single digits.
The Kennedy endorsement helped deliver the White House to Trump as the vast majority of Kennedy’s anti-establishment supporters went for Trump.
Kennedy didn’t get more than 0.5 percent in any of the Midwest battlegrounds, meaning that Kennedy’s endorsement put Trump in the White House.
Trump returned the favor by keeping his word and naming Kennedy his nominee to head Health and Human Services.
Kennedy planned to tackle processed foods, chemicals in pesticides and food products, and fluoride in the drinking water.
Kennedy also wanted to increase transparency on vaccine research so parents could make informed decisions.
When Kennedy endorsed Trump, the media flipped, calling him a crank and a conspiracy theorist.
In 2008, Obama considered appointing Kennedy to his cabinet and POLITICO called Kennedy a “star.”
Now, according to the media, Kennedy is a crank, a conspiracy theorist, and someone unfit for government service.
But one Democrat isn’t signing on to the smear campaign.
Colorado Governor Jared Polis is often talked about as a 2028 Presidential contender.
Polis has a sharp antenna that picks up when the Democrat Party’s gone too far.
During the COVID pandemic, Polis was actually the second Governor – behind Georgia’s Brian Kemp – to reopen his state.
Polis opened up before Florida’s Ron DeSantis because Polis could sense the backlash to COVID mandates.
Now, Polis made waves when he posted an endorsement of the Kennedy pick on social media.
Polis noted that Kennedy helped him defeat a vaccine mandate in Colorado and that Kennedy was the right man to shake up the public health regime that lied repeatedly to the public during COVID.
“I’m excited by the news that the President-Elect will appoint @RobertKennedyJr to @HHSGov. He helped us defeat vaccine mandates in Colorado in 2019 and will help make America healthy again by shaking up HHS and FDA. I hope he leans into personal choice on vaccines rather than bans (which I think are terrible, just like mandates) but what I’m most optimistic about is taking on big pharma and the corporate ag oligopoly to improve our health. Before you mock him or disagree,” Polis said.
Kennedy’s popular ideas
Polis endorsed Kennedy and Trump’s plan to make prescription drugs more affordable.
“Level the playing field for Americans internationally on drug costs…cap drug prices so that companies can’t charge Americans substantially more than Europeans pay. YES! Colorado currently has an application just SITTING at FDA for us to import low-cost prescription drugs from Canada and we just need their approval,” Polis continued.
Kennedy told NBC he planned to fire 600 bureaucrats, an idea that Polis sounded very excited about.
“In some categories, there are entire departments, like the nutrition department at the FDA that are – that have to go, that are not doing their job, they’re not protecting our kids, YES! The entire nutrition regime is dominated by big corporate AG rather than human health and they do more harm than good,” Polis continued.
Finally, Polis got on board with Kennedy’s plan to clean up pesticides.
“We’ve got to get off of pesticide-intensive agriculture. YES! We have tried unsuccessfully to better protect people and pollinators from harmful pesticides here in Colorado and we need all the help we can get to take on big chemical companies and improve human health and the environment! For our pollinators and our people!” Polis concluded.
The media spent years deriding Donald Trump as a racist, a tinfoil hat wearing kook, and someone who pushed fringe ideas.
Polis endorsing Robert F. Kennedy to lead Health and Human Services was the first acknowledgement by someone on the Left that Donald Trump’s ideas are popular.
That Polis is someone with Presidential ambitions in the Democrat Party was even more striking.
