Donald Trump names Kari Lake as the new head of Voice of America
Kari Lake was one of Donald Trump’s most loyal supporters.
Lake lost her 2022 Gubernatorial bid and 2024 Senate bid out in Arizona because the John McCain loyalists in the GOP establishment continued to throw temper tantrums about McCain losing influence in the state in the later years of his life.
McCain was always a RINO, but the GOP grassroots turned on McCain completely when McCain turned into a believer in the Russia collusion hoax and sabotaged Donald Trump by casting his infamous “thumbs down” to vote no on a bill to repeal and replace Obamacare.
Trump considered Lake for the role of Ambassador to Mexico.
But that job went to Ronald Johnson who served as Trump’s ambassador to El Salvador in the first Trump administration.
Democrats and Never Trumpers began to mock the idea that Lake – who could not be more supportive of Donald Trump – was going to get left out in the cold in getting a government posting in the second Trump administration.
But Trump made sure that wasn’t the case.
“I am pleased to announce that Kari Lake will serve as our next Director of the Voice of America,” Trump posted on Truth Social.
Trump said that as the Director of Voice of America, Lake will make sure this media apparatus combats the lies, hoaxes, and conspiracy theories spread by the left-wing media.

“She will be appointed by, and work closely with, our next head of the U.S. Agency for Global Media, who I will announce soon, to ensure that the American values of Freedom and Liberty are broadcast around the World FAIRLY and ACCURATELY, unlike the lies spread by the Fake News Media,” Trump added.
Trump described Lake as well qualified for the job based on her 20 years of experience as a news anchor in Phoenix.
“Kari was a beloved News Anchor in Arizona, which supported me by record margins, for over 20 years,” Trump continued.
Voice of America is the U.S. government’s international broadcasting operation that possesses a massive reach.
“Voice of America (VOA) is the largest U.S. international broadcaster, providing news and information in nearly 50 languages to an estimated weekly audience of more than 354 million people. VOA produces content for digital, television, and radio platforms,” Voice of America’s website reads.
Voice of America was founded in the 1940s to spread free speech diplomacy and spread the word throughout Europe that the American system of freedom and capitalism was superior to fascism and communism.
“Since its creation in 1942, Voice of America has been committed to providing comprehensive coverage of the news and telling audiences the truth. Through World War II, the Cold War, the fight against global terrorism, and the struggle for freedom around the globe today, VOA exemplifies the principles of a free press,” Voice of America’s website continues.
Voice of America played a key role in helping America win the Cold War and now Donald Trump wants Kari Lake in place to make sure Voice of America is once again a leader in the fight for free speech around the globe.
