Democrats thought they found the perfect angle of attack.
A well-coordinated campaign was launched against Donald Trump.
And Donald Trump dealt Democrats one massive defeat after this surprise announcement.
Democrats use egg prices to attack Trump
The price of eggs began to soar when former President Joe Biden unleashed the worst inflation in 40 years.
An outbreak of bird flu under Biden pushed egg prices even higher.
The Biden administration slaughtered more than 100 million chickens to combat bird flu.
President Donald Trump walked into a situation where egg prices were at record highs.
Democrats and their media allies launched a campaign that was obviously orchestrated behind the scenes to attack Trump over the price of eggs.
The media never took any egg prices when Biden was President, and claimed that the skyrocketing cost of living was outside of his control.
But with Trump in the White House, they suddenly pinned the blame on him.
Democrat Members of Congress constantly posted on social media about the price of eggs.
The media began pumping out a steady stream of articles about the soaring price of eggs.
Biden’s Presidency, and by extension, former Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign were sunk by inflation.
Democrats and the media hoped they could pin egg prices on Trump to drive down his support.
The price of eggs is cheaper now than when Trump took office
More than a month of attacking Trump over the price of eggs has gone up in smoke.
Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins announced that the price of eggs had dropped nearly $2 since the Trump administration implemented its plan to fight bird flu.
Eggs are now cheaper than when Trump took office in January.
The average price of a dozen large white eggs is $6.08 after it jumped to more than $8 last month.
Eggs were $6.27 for a dozen on Inauguration Day.
The Agriculture Department is using a plan to fight bird flu that includes biosecurity measures, deregulation, importing eggs, and research.
“We’re more focused on how we bring the price of eggs down and the avian bird flu for everyone,” Rollins told reporters. “A good piece of news we just got in the last day or two is that the average cost of a dozen eggs has gone down $1.85 since we announced our plan about a week and a half ago.”
Rollins noted that egg prices are always the highest in March and April because of the demand for Easter.
She warned that there could be an uptick in prices from Easter demand.
“This is always the highest price for eggs,” Rollins stated.
She told Fox Business that the Trump administration would continue to work on the problem.
“We believe that . . . the market has reacted to our plan that we rolled out on Feb. 26th,” Rollins said. “We are on it. We have a major plan, it’s got five different points, but the piece of . . . good news is that the price of eggs seems to be coming down, and $1.85 per carton is not insignificant, but we’ve got a long way to go.”
This news came on the heels of the price of gasoline dropping to its lowest level since March 2021, according to Gas Buddy.
Democrats are going to have to go back to the drawing board to find a false narrative to use against Donald Trump.
