The reality of the 2024 Presidential election is starting to set in for Democrats.
They thought they could convince everyone – including themselves – that Joe Biden is the best candidate to lead America forward.
But now Democrats blew a gasket after this former Obama advisor went on CNN to warn the Party about Joe Biden’s biggest issue in 2024.
“I don’t think that’s smart”
Former Obama “green jobs czar” and current CNN commentator Van Jones recently made an appearance on the network’s AC360 with Vanderbilt heir Anderson Cooper to discuss the 2024 Presidential election.
As many other Democrats have done recently, Jones seized the opportunity to blow the whistle on the major headwinds President Joe Biden’s re-election campaign is facing.
And as far as he’s concerned, the biggest problem facing the Biden campaign is the lack of enthusiasm black voters have to re-elect the President.
In fact, according to Jones, “there’s no word big enough for the amount of concern” he has over President Biden’s issues with black voters due to the fact that Democrats haven’t addressed any of the issues that were on “the black card” and brought out black voters in the 2020 election.
“It’s remarkable,” Jones admitted. “I think, when you remember 2008, the hope, in 2020, the determination – 2016, people kind of took their foot off the gas with Hillary Clinton. I think that — police reform, nothing, criminal justice reform, nothing, voting rights, nothing. The things that black people came out and voted for and voted about, George Floyd, the John Lewis Civil Rights [Act], nothing has gotten done on the black card. And so, it’s starting to feel like, ‘wow, the economy isn’t that good, and our issues didn’t get taken seriously, and what are we supposed to do?’”
Jones went on to warn his fellow Democrats into believing that black voters will be single-issue voters who only turn out to the polls to vote against former President Donald Trump, as most woke extremists will be doing, when the economy is such a disaster they’re having trouble filling up their gas tanks to get to work.
“I also think that people think black people are going to be single-issue voters, we don’t like Donald Trump,” Jones added. “I don’t think that’s smart. There might be some black, single-issue, anti-Trump voters, but you’ve also got people who are having a problem filling up their gas tank and they’ve got other stuff that they’re concerned about.”
Facts don’t lie
The former Obama advisor reiterated that while some anti-Trump black voters may turn out to solely vote against the former President, “there [are] other people who feel like, ‘man, what do we have to do? We stand in these long lines for hours and hours and hours. We’re getting gerrymandered. We have to fight so hard just to vote. And then, the neighborhood’s not any better, and then affirmative action gets taken away, and then the voting rights [get] worse, and the gerrymandering is worse and nothing is happening.’”
Of course, considering the fact that he was on CNN, Jones ultimately had to couch everything he said, claiming that as the campaign continues, black voters could very well change their minds and simply go to the polls just to vote against Trump.
But at the end of the day, the facts don’t lie.
According to a poll released by the Morning Consult in September, black voters feelings towards Republicans are changing despite endless Democrat propaganda about the Party being “racist,” as 21% of black voters believe the GOP cares more about people like them than Democrats, a 9% increase since the 2016 election.
At the same time, black voters who believe Democrats care about people like them have declined from 71% in 2016 to 64% today – a total of a 16-point swing in Republicans’ favor.
Furthermore, a recent Fox News poll indicated that while Biden secured some 90% of the black vote in 2020, he now has the support of just 74% of black voters, while Trump pulls in 26%.
No matter how you slice it, the Biden Presidency has been a complete and total disaster for all working-class Americans.
And like many other working-class Americans from all walks of life, black voters are starting to have second thoughts about Joe Biden.
