CNN has always favored the Left, but once the Trump Derangement Syndrome took hold, they stopped even pretending to be an unbiased news source.
The tilted news treatment isn’t just reserved for Donald Trump.
And CNN was just exposed running an insane cover scheme in this U.S. Senate battleground.
Democrats are aiming to take out Ted Cruz
While all eyes are on the Presidential election, the Democrat Party is playing a lot of defense across the U.S. Senate map in 2024.
Incumbent Democrats are vulnerable in seven states.
Another three blue Senate seats are being hotly contested in open races.
Meanwhile, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) has few offensive options at his disposal.
Democrats are sinking huge sums of money in red states hoping to score a big flip.
And there is, perhaps, no conservative they’d rather see removed from the Upper Chamber than Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX).
Cruz is running against former NFL linebacker and current U.S. Congressman representing part of the Dallas area, Democrat Colin Allred.
Allred has run a well-funded and aggressive campaign against the Tea Party favorite.
But no heavily produced television ad could prepare Allred for the buzzsaw he ran into on the debate stage.
Ted Cruz destroys rival in debate
Cruz and Allred met in a debate last week, and the general consensus from political observers is that it didn’t go so well for the Democrat challenger.
HOLY SHLIT – is there a Mercy Rule for Debates?

Cruz – a Princeton and Harvard trained litigator who legal scholar Alan Dershowitz has said is “off-the-charts brilliant” – aggressively cross examined the former Tennessee Titan on his record in Congress.
He particularly hit hard on Allred’s commitment to advancing so-called “trans rights,” including supporting men in girls’ sports and bathrooms, and puberty blocker, cross-sex hormones, and even sex change operations for minors.
Of course, the subject of abortion came up during the debate.
CNN deceptively edits Cruz debate clip
In CNN’s after-the-fact coverage of the debate, they decided to focus on the abortion portion.
CNN News Central lamented the fact that the Lone Star State has some of the strictest pro-life laws in the country.
This is how you know Colin Allred’s team is getting desperate in #TXSen vs. @TedCruz. They’re having CNN do their dirty work for them.

They then showed a heavily-edited clip of the debate moderators trying to play an abortion “gotcha game” against the incumbent Senator.
CNN wanted to make Cruz look bad because he wasn’t focusing his answer on rape and incest exceptions that make up less 2% of all abortions, according to the most generous studies.
But as the Media Research Center’s News Busters pointed out – CNN conveniently edited out Cruz hitting Allred for his belief in completely unfettered and unregulated abortions.
“This is how you know Colin Allred’s team is getting desperate in Texas vs. Ted Cruz,” News Musters managing editor Curtis Houck tweeted. “They’re having CNN do their dirty work for them. CNN News Central made part of its segment on last night’s debate about Cruz’s views on abortion, NOT Allred refusing to say whether he believes in ANY limit to abortion, even in the ninth month. CNN deceptively cut off a Cruz soundbite immediately before he made that point.”
With everything else seeming to come up short, Democrats are putting most of their eggs in the abortion basket this November.
Only time will tell if it’s enough for Allred and Democrats to flip the red seat blue on November 5th.
