The NRSC released a video titled “We Grill Right” that resurrected one of Schumer’s most embarrassing social media moments from 2024.
The video featured that infamous Father’s Day photo where Schumer appeared to commit one of the cardinal sins of backyard barbecuing.
In the original post, Schumer was caught red-handed placing a slice of cheese directly onto a raw hamburger patty while it was still on the grill.
“Our family has lived in an apartment building for all our years, but my daughter and her wife just bought a house with a backyard and for the first time we’re having a barbeque with hot dogs and hamburgers on the grill!” Schumer wrote in his now-deleted social media post.
Anyone who’s ever manned a grill knows you wait until the burger is nearly done before adding cheese.
Putting cheese on raw meat is like wearing socks with sandals – it instantly marks you as someone who doesn’t know what they’re doing.
