Bill Clinton Got Exposed After Attacking Trump’s ICE Raids Following Clinton’s Record With Kids

Jan 27, 2026

Bill Clinton threw gasoline on the fire after violence erupted in Minneapolis.

The former President condemned Trump's federal immigration enforcement operations.

And Bill Clinton got exposed after attacking Trump's ICE raids following his armed seizure of 6-year-old Elian.

Bill Clinton Blasts Trump Administration Over Minneapolis Shootings

Former President Bill Clinton issued a scathing statement Sunday attacking the Trump administration over two fatal shootings by federal immigration agents in Minneapolis this month.

Alex Pretti, a 37-year-old intensive care nurse, was shot and killed January 24 by Border Patrol agents during protests against Operation Metro Surge, the largest immigration enforcement operation in U.S. history.

Video footage shows Pretti recording federal agents with his phone and helping a woman agents had knocked to the ground before officers pepper-sprayed him, threw him to the pavement, and fired at least 10 shots.

The shooting came just 17 days after ICE agent Jonathan Ross shot and killed Renee Good, another 37-year-old Minneapolis resident, on January 7 when she tried to run over the agent with her vehicle.

Clinton claimed federal agents have been seizing "people, including children" from "their homes, workplaces, and the street by masked federal agents."

That's the same playbook Democrats used during Trump's first term.

Back then, viral photos of "kids in cages" that Democrats and media figures used to attack Trump turned out to be from the Obama administration in 2014, not Trump's policies.

Now Democrats are pushing claims that ICE is "using children as bait" to lure illegal aliens into arrests.

DHS has called those allegations an "abject lie" and a "horrific smear," saying the father fled and abandoned his child while officers tried to get the mother to take custody.

But Clinton is betting the emotional narrative will stick regardless of what actually happened.

"Peaceful protesters and citizens exercising their constitutional right to observe and document law enforcement have been arrested, beaten, teargassed, and most searingly, in the cases of Renee Good and Alex Pretti, shot and killed," Clinton wrote.

He accused Trump administration officials of lying about the incidents.

"To make matters even worse, at every turn, the people in charge have lied to us, told us not to believe what we've seen with our own eyes," Clinton added.

Clinton urged Americans to protect their freedoms from what he called an overreaching federal government.

Never Forget What Bill Clinton Did to Elian Gonzalez

Clinton's outrage over federal agents conducting enforcement operations rings hollow for anyone who remembers April 22, 2000.

That morning, Clinton sent armed federal agents to storm a Miami home and seize 6-year-old Elian Gonzalez at gunpoint.

The infamous photo captured the moment: a federal agent aimed his weapon directly at the terrified 6-year-old hiding in a closet.

Over 130 Immigration and Naturalization Service agents took part in the pre-dawn raid dubbed "Operation Reunion."

Agents broke down the door with battering rams when the family didn't answer and sprayed pepper spray on anyone in their path.

They found Elian hiding in a bedroom closet in the arms of the fisherman who had rescued him from the ocean on Thanksgiving Day.

The child's mother had drowned trying to escape Cuba with her son.

Attorney General Janet Reno, Clinton's top law enforcement official, ordered the raid after negotiations with the Miami relatives broke down.

Her deputy at the time was current Biden Attorney General Eric Holder, who reportedly said Reno wept after giving the order.

Clinton defended the decision, saying it conformed with international child custody law.

The raid sparked massive protests in Miami's Cuban-American community and violent clashes with protesters who were tear gassed and beaten.

New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani called the federal agents involved "storm troopers" at least six times.

Clinton condemned "masked federal agents" while conveniently forgetting he sent tactical teams to raid a home and seize a 6-year-old child at gunpoint.

He accused the Trump administration of lying while his own Justice Department defended federal agents pointing weapons at a terrified child.

Trump's ICE agents are conducting targeted operations against illegal aliens wanted for violent crimes.

Clinton's agents stormed a home with battering rams and automatic weapons to seize a 6-year-old boy whose only "crime" was surviving a boat journey that killed his mother.

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey have encouraged protesters to interfere with federal immigration enforcement, creating the volatile situation that led to both fatal shootings.

But Clinton has no moral authority to criticize federal law enforcement operations after what he ordered done to Elian Gonzalez.

The image of that federal agent aiming his weapon at terrified little Elian tells you everything you need to know about Bill Clinton's credibility when he attacks Trump's immigration enforcement.
