Melania recounted how when Donald Trump left office in 2021, the Left flexed their institutional muscles to punish the family.
In the wake of January 6th, institutions under the sway of the Left tried to bully Donald Trump out of politics by targeting his family for intimidation.
Melania Trump revealed how shortly after the Trump family returned to Florida, she found out her bank canceled her account.
And not only did the leftists in charge de-bank her, they canceled her 14-year-old son Barron by refusing to allow Barron to open a new bank account.
“I was shocked and dismayed to learn that my long-time bank decided to terminate my account and deny my son the opportunity to open a new one,” Melania wrote.
Melania Trump condemned the sickness that is “woke” cancel culture as being so evil minded that it would target women and children to punish Donald Trump, because the Left lost its mind over the fact that he won the 2016 election.
The former First Lady also raised civil rights issues, saying Americans shouldn’t face discrimination for their political views, the same way a bank couldn’t cancel them because of their religious affiliation.
“This decision appeared to be rooted in political discrimination, raising serious concerns about civil rights violations,” Melania Trump added.
When Donald Trump left office, every major social media platform in America canceled him.
Banks targeted his family.
Melania Trump warned that the woke mob’s control over the major power centers created a frightening dilemma for America.
“The ‘cancel mob’ now includes corporations, traditional media, influential social media figures, and cultural institutions,” Melania stated. “This disheartening trend reflects the current socio-political landscape in the United States.”
“The cancellation continues — an attitude by businesses both big and small that never ceases to surprise me,” Melania Trump also wrote.
Red states fight back
Red states are pushing back against the woke cancel mob.
Multiple laws in Republican-run states came on the books that make it illegal for financial institutions to discriminate against Americans on the basis of the political views.
POLITICO reports that in Florida “the new law extends to all national banks a prohibition on canceling financial services to a customer based on their political opinions or religious beliefs. (A previous law in 2023 applied more narrowly to state-chartered banks). The new law also sets up a customer complaint process that triggers an investigation into the bank by state regulators. Lawmakers debated but dropped a provision allowing customers to bring suit themselves.”
“Tennessee’s law applies to banks with assets of more than $100 billion. In addition to barring political and religious discrimination, it requires banks to provide an explanation, with specific reasons, for closing or denying an account. Aggrieved customers also have a new private right of action to sue banks for violations of the law,” POLITICO added.
