AOC put her foot in her mouth again, trying to defend Jewish people, and it’s as bad as you imagine

It seems every time Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez seemingly can’t get any worse, she screams out, “Hold my beer.”

And now it has happened again.

Because AOC put her foot in her mouth again after she tried to defend Jewish people, and it’s as bad as you imagine.

Bartender turned Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) recently tried to save face and come to the defense of Jewish people.

A major split in the Democrat Party

The Hamas attack on Israel is causing a major split in the Democrat Party.

Rising anti-Semitism by the Democrat Party base is being met with increasing pushback from progressive Democrat leaders to support Israel unequivocally.

The American-Jewish community has long been a major part of the Democrat base, and Democrat leaders are becoming concerned they could lose this base as Democrat activists take to the streets in support of terrorist attacks on Jews.

In response to the growing split, Ocasio-Cortez published a grossly generic statement condemning anti-Semitism.

“Now more than ever, we must emphasize the importance of separating people from governments,” the AOC wrote.

“Antisemitism is disgusting and unacceptable. We have a responsibility to defend our Jewish brothers, sisters, and siblings from hatred. No movement of integrity should tolerate it. Ever,” she added.

But her generic attempt to speak out against antisemitism backfired spectacularly.

One of only 9

Her statement caused significant skepticism because, just less than a week before it, Ocasio-Cortez voted against a House resolution that supported Israel and condemned Hamas.

She was one of only nine Democrats who voted against the resolution.

And it became almost laughable for AOC to issue her statement in defense of the Jewish people after just voting against supporting them.

The struggles AOC is facing are a microcosm of a greater divide in the Democrat Party in general.

They don’t know whether to stand with their pro-Hamas activists and foot soldiers who are taking to U.S. streets daily in support of Hamas or support their donors and voting base of Jewish Americans.

Democrat leaders are scrambling to try and hold their fragile coalition together, but the war in the Middle East is making their efforts almost impossible.

Meanwhile, Ocasio-Cortez, sensing her problems, published an extended version of her statement on Instagram.

In her post, she attempted weakly to equate Hamas to the Israeli government, something almost no one on either side of the conflict has tried to do.

“Our movement fights for Palestinian human rights AND protects the safety of our Jewish brothers, sisters, and siblings,” she said. “Palestinians and those who advocate for them are NOT equivalent to Hamas. Israelis and those concerned for Jewish safety are NOT equivalent to the acts of the Israeli government.”

Her attempt to placate everyone ended up only causing her more trouble and allowing more ridicule of her.

But while AOC seems to have reached the bottom of the barrel again, it won’t be long until she goes even lower.
