Joe Biden’s mental state is becoming the dominant issue in the 2024 election.
The media can no longer pretend he’s fine.
And another Joe Biden cognitive episode has Democrats pressing the panic button.
For the second time in a week, Joe Biden claimed to have spoken with a dead man.
During a fundraiser in New York City, Biden regaled donors with a story about his first trip abroad following the 2020 election.
Biden told his usual tale about how we would explain to European leaders that him winning the 2020 election meant “America’s back.”
“I showed up … and I sat down and said, ‘America’s back,’ and [French President Emmanuel] Macron looked at me and said, ‘For how long?’ How long? Not a joke,” Biden began.
Then Biden tied it into this pitch about how this election is a referendum on January 6 and that Donald Trump is a threat to democracy.
It’s not a joke, its sad
But this is where Biden’s senility popped up.
In Biden’s telling of the story, German Chancellor Helmut Kohl questioned Biden about what he would think if people in London stormed Parliament and killed police officers.
“And then Helmut Kohl turned to me and said, ‘What would you say, Mr. President, if you picked up the London Times and learned that 1,000 people had broken down the doors of the British parliament, killed some bobbies on the way in, to deny the prime minister to take office,”’ Biden added.
This time Biden lying about Trump supporters killing police officers on January 6 wasn’t the most disturbing thing he said.
That’s because at the time of this trip, Angela Merkel was Chancellor of Germany.
Helmut Kohl served as Chancellor of Germany from 1982 to1998.
Kohl died in 2017.

The second disturbing episode in under a week
Biden told this same story over the weekend at a campaign event in Nevada, but during that speech Biden claimed to have told the “America is back” line to French President Francois Mitterrand.
“It was in the south of England. And I sat down and I said, ‘America is back,’ and Mitterrand from Germany, I mean from France, looked at me and said – said, ‘you know what — why — how long you back for?’” Biden declared.
Mitterrand, like Kohl, led France in the 1980s and early 1990s.
And Mitterrand, like Kohl, died years ago, this time with Mitterrand passing away in 1996.
Democrats and the press can’t hide Biden’s cognitive decline from the voters.
An NBC News poll found just 23 percent of Americans think Biden is physically and mentally fit to be President.
And the more these cognitive episodes occur during the campaign trail, the more voters will doubt the wisdom of trusting the Presidency to someone who will turn 86 at the end of their term.
