The Democrat Party is already plotting schemes to sabotage Donald Trump’s Presidency.
One of the worst plans just got put into motion.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez pulls a power play
Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez won a major battle with Congressman Gerry Connolly to serve as the ranking member of the House Oversight Committee.
The seniority system that the Democrat Party operates under in the House of Representatives dictated that Connolly get the nod as the top Democrat in the panel since he entered Congress in 2008.
However, Ocasio-Cortez outflanked Connolly with a lobbying campaign because the Democrats on the Oversight Committee are younger and farther to the Left, making them more receptive to Ocasio-Cortez’s bid.
“But according to interviews with a dozen members and staffers, Ocasio-Cortez has earned the support of the majority of Democrats on the panel, though it’s the Steering and Policy Committee and the full caucus who ultimately decide. The Oversight panel is stacked with younger, more progressive members who tend to align more with her than Connolly,” POLITICO reported.
Ocasio-Cortez also earned Democrat Caucus support the old-fashioned way – showering money on her colleagues.
“And Ocasio-Cortez earlier this year neutralized a long-running criticism from other Democrats about the Squad — that they didn’t pay their dues to the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee despite raking in huge sums in grassroots donations themselves — when she sent a check for the first time. She’s since sent in $260,000 to the DCCC, according to the most recent caucus report obtained by POLITICO, and raised or gave $54,000 to at-risk lawmakers. Connolly chipped in $190,000 to the DCCC, according to the report, and has raised and given $190,000 to purple-district members,” POLITICO also reported.
What Ocasio-Cortez’s new role means
Ocasio-Cortez has her eyes on the 2028 Presidential Election.
During the 2020 election, Ocasio-Cortez made no secret of the fact that she didn’t consider herself a lifer in the House of Representatives.
“I don’t know if I’m really going to be staying in the House forever, or if I do stay in the House, what that would look like,” Ocasio-Cortez said in October 2022. “I don’t see myself really staying where I’m at for the rest of my life.”
It’s hard to run for President as a backbench member of the House of Representatives, even for one as famous as Ocasio-Cortez.
That’s where the Oversight Committee comes in.
The natural rhythms of politics suggest Democrats have a strong chance to win control of the House in 2026, especially since they only need to flip four seats to do so.
Democrats winning control of the House means Ocasio-Cortez ascends to the position of House Oversight Committee Chairwoman.
That puts Ocasio-Cortez in the position of running the witch hunts against Donald Trump that will obviously turn into another impeachment hoax.
Running the latest impeachment hoax will provide Ocasio-Cortez a national spotlight to build her name recognition and donor base ahead of a potential 2028 Presidential campaign.
