Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez will get kicked out of the Democrat Party over one mistake

Apr 22, 2025

New York Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez thinks she’s on her way to the White House.

Not if key members of her own party get their way.

And Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez will get kicked out of the Democrat Party over one mistake.

James Carville calls for the Democrat Party to split in two

Democrat Party strategist James Carville has had it up to here with the left flank of his party.

Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), Bernie Sanders (I-VT), and Democrat National Committee Vice Chair David Hogg all earned Carville’s ire with their push to drag the party even farther to the left ahead of the 2026 and 2028 elections.

Ocasio-Cortez and Sanders have been on road show staging rallies where they are demanding Democrats further embrace socialism.

David Hogg announced he will support a $20 million effort to primary Democrats in safe blue seats who don’t wage total war on Donald Trump.

Carville told NewsNation’s Chris Cuomo that Ocasio-Cortez, Sanders, and Hogg all live in leftist bubbles because they don’t have to compete in swing states.

“Let me make a point about Bernie [Sanders] and AOC [Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez]. Bernie went for president twice. He’s lost twice. AOC, in her time, and this guy, David Hogg, they want to run against other Democrats. They don’t run against Republicans,” Carville began.

Carville complained that the target of Ocasio-Cortez, Sanders, and Hogg’s attacks were fellow Democrats.

“Well, when you beat a Republican, come back and see me, and I will be impressed. But if you’re spending all your time, and I think that’s the real problem. And I mean, it’s fine, they draw big crowds, they draw everything, that’s great. But all they want to do, and all this guy, Hogg, wants to do, is they want to beat like- Democrats are not the problem right now,” Carville added.

Hogg, Sanders, and Ocasio-Cortez want to double down and move farther left on the agenda that the American people rejected in 2024.

Carville suggested that if they really believe the problem with the Democrat Party in 2024 was not being leftist enough then the party should split in two and go their separate ways.

“I don’t think most of Democrats are that. And maybe we need to have a schism. Maybe we can form a government coalition. You know, this happens every time in parliamentary things, where you come in and say, ‘Okay, you want to be part of our coalition.’ But we’re next to them all the time, running against us,” Carville continued.

Based on fundraising – Ocasio-Cortez raised $10 million in the first quarter of 2025 – and polls – Ocasio-Cortez is rising to second place in 2028 Democrat Presidential primary trial heats – Carville should be careful what he wishes for.

If Carville wants a “schism” inside the party where everyone shakes hands and agrees to go their separate ways it will be Carville’s faction that is on the losing end of this deal.
