Democrats are growing increasingly disenchanted with Chuck Schumer.
One name is rising above the rest to primary Schumer in 2028.
And Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has Chuck Schumer’s back against the wall after this stunning betrayal.
Poll shows Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez would defeat Chuck Schumer
Historian Victor Davis Hanson assessed the state of Chuck Schumer’s political fortunes on a recent episode of his podcast.
Hanson said Schumer is in panic mode over the growing anger in the Democrat base directed towards him as evidenced by Schumer’s increasingly unhinged opposition to President Trump.
“He was the one that urged, more recently, that Democratic progressive operatives go down and disrupt town halls in Republican districts. He calls for violence almost,” Hanson recalled. “He’s in an existential crisis.”
The fury at Schumer on the left exploded after Schumer surrendered to President Trump on a bill to freeze government spending.
Hanson said Schumer will fight to the end and force the voters to oust him rather than slink away and retire.
“I think he’s 73, and he’s an institution, and he’s not going to go out like Dianne Feinstein. You know what I mean? To the last micro energy bolt, just die literally in the saddle. He’s going to be out. They’re going to vote him out,” Hanson added.
Hanson then predicted that Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez would primary Schumer in 2028 and defeat him as Ocasio-Cortez is the living, breathing vessel for the rage and Trump Derangement Syndrome that has consumed so many on the left.
“AOC is going to vote him out. He knows that. So now he’s sort of, as I said, he’s like Tiresias and Cadmus in Euripides’ [The] Bacchae. He’s an old man that puts on a costume and tries to dance around like he’s young and try to out AOC, and he can’t,” Hanson declared. “So he tries to blame Trump for everything. There’s so many clips of him prior to 2016 praising Trump to the skies as a businessman and a friend. He has no identity, and he’s caught now.”
Hanson’s hunch is backed up by polling data.
A poll for the Honan Strategy Group showed Ocasio-Cortez trouncing Schumer by 21 points in a hypothetical primary match up.
“Socialist Ocasio-Cortez leads five-term incumbent Schumer by a 54%-33% among likely Democratic voters in the Big Apple, according to the poll conducted by Honan Strategy Group for the Jewish Voters Action Network,” the New York Post’s report on the poll read.
Donald Trump ridiculed Schumer as a “Palestinian” for trying to appease the pro-Hamas mob on the left in an effort to ward off any potential primary challenger.
That pivot did Schumer no favors as the poll found Schumer losing by 11 points to Ocasio-Cortez among Jewish voters, who typically make up a portion of Schumer’s base of support.
“AOC, 35, who now services as a member of the House of Representatives, leads Schumer among Jewish Democrats 45%-33% with 17% undecided, the poll found,” the Post report went on to say.
