No one in the Democrat Party reacted well to Donald Trump’s landslide win.
Some on the Left felt the need to act out in public.
And Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez got caught on camera in this humiliating melt down.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez blames sexism for Kamala Harris’ defeat
Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) was in full excuse mode after Donald Trump crushed Kamala Harris.
In an Instagram livestream, Ocasio-Cortez tried to claim Kamala Harris ran as good a campaign as could be expected considering party bosses only handed her the nomination with 107 days before the election.
“I think it’s important to also state here that Kamala Harris was given an assignment that no other person in American history was given: To construct a presidential campaign in 90 to 100 days with absolutely no expectation … to that assignment,” Ocasio-Cortez ranted. “And have to deliver the country from an enormous fascist threat that had already been campaigning and priming the pump for essentially eight years.”
Like all millennials, Ocasio-Cortez really made it all about herself as she claimed she knew what it was like to experience racism and sexism when running for office and that Kamala Harris couldn’t overcome America’s supposed bigotry.
“Misogyny is very very real in this country. As another widely known woman of color in office, you know, I knew that sexism and racism were real, but it was not until I got subjected to a national stage that I actually was shocked at how bad it is. You know, you grow up with it, but there is something about being on the receiving line or just nationally exposed to millions of eyeballs at once that you feel that fire hose and you actually understand how deeply ingrained it is,” Ocasio-Cortez added.
Ocasio-Cortez tried to explain away the fact that Donald Trump built the most diverse Republican coalition ever by claiming racism and sexism knew no party.
“And it is not partisan… it transcends politics. And that’s a hard pill for a lot of people to swallow. That misogyny can exist in left spaces, in right spaces, in center spaces,” Ocasio-Cortez continued.
Ocasio-Cortez also argued that if Democrats ran a male candidate “we may have a different result today.”
The denial of reality
If Ocasio-Cortez wanted to blame racism and sexism for Kamala Harris’ defeat, she needed to explain several facts.
If sexism was to blame for Kamala Harris’ defeat, why did Donald Trump carry suburban women 51-47, and why did women under 30 vote 11 points more Republican in 2024 than 2020?
If racism was to blame, why did Donald Trump win a GOP record 46 percent of the Hispanic vote, 20 percent of black men, and make gains with Asian and Indian voters?
Ocasio-Cortez wanted to blame racism and sexism because the truth of the matter was Kamala Harris lost because she supported Ocasio-Cortez’s agenda.
Voters couldn’t get past the fact that Kamala Harris ran for President in 2020 on a platform to ban private health insurance, support taxpayer funded transgender surgeries for illegal alien prisoners, impose the Green New Deal, and confiscate firearms.
While in office, Kamala Harris opened the border in accordance with the demands of leftists like Ocasio-Cortez.
Ocasio-Cortez’s rant showed the Left still didn’t learn the lesson of the election if they are going to obsessively focus on identity politics.
