Democrats are ramping up their attacks on President Trump’s cabinet picks.
But one Senator just crossed a dangerous line with his latest assault.
And Adam Schiff made one explosive accusation that will infuriate Trump.
California Democrat launches unprecedented attack
Senator Adam Schiff has never met a Trump appointee he wouldn’t attack.
The California Democrat who spent years pushing the Russia collusion hoax has found his next target.
This time he’s going after Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard with guns blazing.
In a lengthy presentation on Schiff’s youtube page entitled “We Need to Talk About Tulsi Gabbard,” Schiff unleashed a barrage of accusations against the former congresswoman turned intelligence chief.
“So today I want to continue in a series of profiles of Trump cabinet members, and today we’re going to focus on Tulsi Gabbard,” Schiff began. “What is the background of Tulsi Gabbard? What kind of a job is she doing as Director of National Intelligence?”
Schiff claimed in the performance masquerading as a political attack that Gabbard’s job performance has been “just terrible,” laying out what he claimed were multiple failures and security breaches during her time leading America’s intelligence community.
Schiff drudges up SignalGate in an attempt to smear Gabbard on immigration and notorious Venezuelan gang
Schiff’s most serious charge involves how Gabbard allegedly handled sensitive military information.
The Democrat Senator claimed that Gabbard participated in discussions about classified military operations using an unsecured messaging application.
According to Schiff’s account, these conversations involved strike plans targeting Houthi forces in Yemen.
When questioned by Senator Jack Reed, during Congressional hearings at the time, about which device she used for these communications, Gabbard was having none of it.
She cited the then-ongoing National Security Council review as the reason for not commenting on the matter.
Representative Jason Crow also pressed Gabbard about her location during these alleged communications.
Gabbard acknowledged traveling in the Asia-Pacific region but said she couldn’t recall the specific country where she was located.
All that was Schiff’s preface to trying to claim that Gabbard’s staff attempted to influence a National Intelligence Council report on notorious Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua and their activities in the United States.
According to Schiff, the original analysis concluded that Venezuela’s government wasn’t directing the gang’s operations on American soil.
This finding Schiff claimed supposedly conflicted with the Trump administration’s justification for using emergency deportation powers.
The administration had invoked the centuries-old Alien Enemies Act by claiming Venezuela was effectively at war with America.
When intelligence professionals reportedly refused to alter their conclusions,
Schiff’s aim for this whole charade is to convince Americans to believe that Gabbard attempted to get National Intelligence Council staff to alter their conclusions and then retaliated against them.
This is why Schiff claimed that both the head and deputy head of the National Intelligence Council were dismissed from their positions.
The real story behind the attacks
Schiff doesn’t want to reveal the truth about why he’s going after Gabbard.
Democrats like Schiff spent years cheering when the FBI raided Trump’s home and when intelligence officials claimed Hunter Biden’s laptop was Russian disinformation.
Now he’s suddenly worried about intelligence integrity?
The Biden FBI was caught red-handed targeting parents at school board meetings and labeling Catholics as potential terrorists.
The CIA has a long history of meddling in American politics, from spying on journalists to cooking intelligence reports.
These agencies answer to nobody, hide behind secrecy rules, and do whatever they want.
Gabbard is different because she’s been shot at in Iraq and doesn’t owe anyone in Washington any favors.
She won’t play the game where bureaucrats get to keep their jobs no matter how badly they screw up.
The woman actually reads the intelligence reports instead of just rubber-stamping whatever the experts tell her.
That scares people who’ve gotten rich and powerful by playing along with the system.
Schiff and his buddies know that if Gabbard starts asking the right questions, a lot of uncomfortable answers are going to come out.
They’d rather destroy her reputation than risk having their own dirty laundry exposed.
Why Washington hates outsiders
Here’s what really drives the establishment crazy about Gabbard.
She didn’t spend 30 years climbing the ladder in Washington.
She didn’t go to all their cocktail parties or kiss the rings.
The intelligence bureaucrats can’t control her because she doesn’t need their approval to advance her career.
When some analyst tells her something can’t be questioned because it’s classified, she actually has the guts to question it anyway.
Most politicians are terrified of the intelligence community because they know these agencies can destroy careers with a single leak.
But Gabbard already gave up a safe House seat to serve in Trump’s cabinet.
She’s not worried about what the Washington Post thinks of her.
The old boys’ club has had free rein for decades, operating behind closed doors and never having to explain themselves to anyone.
Trump picked someone who actually might hold them accountable for once.
No wonder they’re fighting back so hard.
