Adam Kinzinger rejects pre-emptive pardon
Former RINO Congressman Adam Kinzinger was one of Nancy Pelosi’s handpicked stooges to serve on the January 6 Committee.
The Committee was Pelosi’s effort to frame Trump for fake crimes Democrats invented about Trump and January 6.
But the Committee’s conduct is now under a microscope after the House Administration Oversight Subcommittee issued a report accusing Liz Cheney and other January 6 Committee members of criminal activity and recommending an FBI investigation.
“Based on the evidence obtained by this Subcommittee, numerous federal laws were likely broken by Liz Cheney, the former Vice Chair of the January 6 Select Committee, and these violations should be investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation,” the committee’s report stated.
Cheney is facing allegations of witness tampering.
The subcommittee also found that the January 6 Committee deleted key records which impeded their investigation leading to allegations of obstruction of justice.
Donald Trump has called for criminal charges against January 6 Committee members.
“The unAmerican Weaponization of our Law Enforcement has reached levels of Illegality never thought possible before,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “INDICT THE UNSELECT J6 COMMITTEE FOR ILLEGALLY DELETING AND DESTROYING ALL OF THEIR ‘FINDINGS!’”
No one is below the law.
Pursuing Donald Trump also doesn’t come with a get out of jail free card.
A history of pardons
But the President of the United States can hand one out in the form of a pardon.
Joe Biden already abused the pardon power with the corrupt pardon of his son Hunter Biden for any crimes he may have committed dating back to January 2014.
There are reports percolating around Washington that Biden will also issue pre-emptive pardons to the members of the January 6 Committee.
CNN’s Anderson Cooper asked Kinzinger if he would be willing to accept one of Biden’s pardons.
“No,” Kinzinger stated.
Kinzinger claimed he didn’t want a pardon because his Trump Derangement Syndrome caused him to go off the deep end and believed Trump would just invent another pretext to investigate and prosecute him.
“I don’t want it… because Donald Trump has clearly said he’s gonna go after everybody. And it’s not gonna be for the January 6 investigation. What they’ll do is weaponize other investigations. They’ll look into everything and start an investigation that’ll end up coming to naught… But the second you take a pardon, it looks like you’re guilty of something. I’m guilty of nothing besides bringing the truth to the American people,” Kinzinger added.
Donald Trump said repeatedly he isn’t interested in a revenge tour.
But if his political opponents did commit legitimate crimes, they shouldn’t get away with it merely because their target was Donald Trump.
Kinzinger may also have another reason to talk tough about not wanting a pardon.
Accepting a pardon also means you accept guilt for the crimes the President is granting clemency for.
If Kinzinger or any other January 6 Committee members accept a pardon they would be admitting their committee was a criminal enterprise.
