A key ally handed Joe Biden a horrifying reality check about another group of voters abandoning him

Apr 8, 2024

Joe Biden’s attempt at making a comeback in the 2024 election hit another roadblock.

One of his biggest allies is sounding the alarm.

And this key ally just handed Joe Biden a horrifying reality check about another group of voters abandoning him.

Famed Democrat strategist says Biden coalition fracturing

James Carville helped mastermind Bill Clinton’s 1992 Presidential Election victory.

Carville’s long been a Biden supporter.

But not even Carville can sugarcoat matters anymore.

Carville is warning Biden and the rest of the Democrat Party that the polls are real, and the erosion in Biden’s support among younger voters – especially black and Latino men – is very real.

“I’ve been very vocal about this,” Carville declared. “It’s horrifying our numbers among younger voters, particularly younger blacks, younger latinos … younger people of color. Particularly males. We’re not shedding them, they’re leaving in droves.”

Carville added that Biden’s woes with younger male voters go beyond the well documented problems of woke lunatics on college campuses wanting to make being a normal red-blooded American male a punishable offense.

“I think this issue is deep, and I think it’s a lot deeper than just progressive advocates or young people or college campuses,” Carville added. “I hope the president can get some kind of ceasefire and take this off the front burner because, frankly, its damage politically is pretty substantial. And if we get to Chicago at the convention and this thing is still going on, I don’t want to think about what‘s going to happen there.”

Younger voters increasingly prefer Donald Trump’s Presidency

The simple fact that Carville and other Democrats don’t want to acknowledge is that voters just think Donald Trump was a better President than Joe Biden.

Trump running against Biden gives Americans the first chance since 1892 to hold an up or down vote on a sitting President running against his predecessor.

The election will hinge on whose four-year term voters thought made their lives better.

And Donald Trump is the runaway winner of that question, even with young voters who are typically a reliable Democrat Party constituency.

Joe Biden won young voters 59 to 33 percent in 2020.

But a Bloomberg/Morning Consult set of polls from the seven swing states that will decide the election showed Trump leading Biden with young voters on the economy.

It’s not hard to see why.

Inflation was under two percent when Donald Trump left office.

Thanks to inflation and rising interest rates, home buying is now out of reach for young voters.

According to zlllow.com, the average price of a home in 2020 was $230,000.

That skyrocketed to $330,000 in 2023.

Life was more affordable when Donald Trump was President.

And Trump’s support in the polls with young voters reflects that.
