Kamala Harris has only done one interview as a Presidential candidate.

Her handlers know anytime they put her in an unscripted setting -no matter how friendly – Kamala Harris goes viral for all the wrong reasons.

One example was this past April when actress turned daytime talk show host Drew Barrymore interviewed Kamala Harris.

The interview turned super cringe when Barrymore told Kamala Harris that the nation needed her to be “Momala” to restore a sense of reassurance and optimism in America.

“I keep thinking in my head that we all need a mom. I’ve been thinking that we really all need a tremendous hug in the world right now. But in our country, we need you to be Momala of the country,” Barrymore stated.

Drew Barrymore admits she’s on team Democrat 

Barrymore opened up on the embarrassing interview at the Paley Center for Media.

And Barrymore’s comments demonstrated everything wrong with today’s media.

Barrymore revealed the interview went off the rails because the fear of Kamala Harris flubbing anything other than the gentlest softball overwhelmed her.

“All I kept thinking was, if you do one thing to screw up this woman’s path — and you are the clown to do it — and if you do one thing that makes her look bad, or becomes a gap, or just does something to… [interviewing] is such an art,” Barrymore stated. “How do you get so personal? I’ve never… that’s the scariest conversation I’ve done on the entire show’s history.”

Barrymore told the crowd that her overriding goal in the interview was to make Kamala Harris look good.

“I was like, if I tarnish this woman… I wanted to see her be fun and disarmed, but I was like, what if I do one thing that’s goofy and she plays along, and I’ve led her down a bad path? That was making me so sick to my stomach, but I wasn’t going to give up trying to [do it].”

Barrymore and moderator Nate Burleson somehow both agreed that the clip made Kamala Harris look good.

Few outside the liberal media bubble would agree with that idea.

“As we say, she came to play,” Burleson stated.

“She really did. And it was an electric connection. It was one of the most ignited, exciting experiences of my life, and it was about something that she lives every day, which is how to not get it wrong,” Barrymore replied.

Barrymore’s comments drive at the heart of everything that’s wrong with the media in 2024.

Talk shows hosts, news anchors and print reporters all think it’s their job to help Democrats and defeat Donald Trump.

Few will openly come out and say it.
