Americans are finally getting a chance to vet Kamala Harris as a candidate for President.
The public is learning some shocking truths.

Clay Travis – co-host of the Clay Travis and Buck Sexton Show – is a native southerner and took great offense to Harris’ act.
“First, let’s have some fun with that accent. I live in Tennessee right now, Harris, I’ve lived in the south my entire life,” Travis told Fox News host Harris Faulkner.Â
Travis wondered why politicians like Kamala Harris pandered to people in the south by pretending they talked like them.
“Why do people feel compelled, particularly politicians, to come to the south and try to pretend that they’re actually southern? I don’t understand it at all,” Travis continued.
Faulkner had an easy answer – liberal elites like Kamala think people in the south are beneath them.
“Cause they look down on us!” Faulkner snapped.
A deeper problemÂ
Travis agreed in part but noted that politicians never adopt any other accents when they visit other parts of the country.
“I think that’s probably somewhat accurate. But, you know, nobody else’s accent is mocked and ridiculed In a similar fashion. You go to the midwest and you go to the northeast, so Southerners see through that,” Harris stated.
Travis told Faulkner it wasn’t just politicians who pulled this stunt, as when Louisiana State University hired Brian Kelly away from Notre Dame to be their head football coach, Kelly immediately adopted a fake drawl.
“And by the way, it’s not just Kamala Harris. We recently had LSU hired a new football coach, Brian Kelly, and he showed up and suddenly turned into, like he was, you know, been living in the South since, for the last 60 years. So anyway, we see through that,” Travis continued.
Travis told Faulkner that Kamala using the phony southern accent spoke to larger problems about her candidacy, which is that Americans aren’t being shown who the real Kamala Harris is.
“I think what it reflects is no one knows what Kamala Harris really believes. And that’s a major issue here. As we sit, she’s now been the default nominee for 15 days. They haven’t let her off a teleprompter. She hasn’t done an interview,” Travis continued.
Harris used anonymous campaign staffers to disavow her previous support for gun confiscation, restricting meat consumption, decriminalizing illegal immigration and banning private health insurance.
Travis said that with the economy in a free fall, Harris would eventually have to come out of hiding and make her real views known.
“She hasn’t engaged with voters out on the campaign trail. Looking down at the corner right there, the stock market’s down almost a thousand points today. What is Kamala Harris’s economic policy? Biden tried to take credit for Bidenonmics, obviously Kamala Harris a part of that. If you want to talk about weird, I think running for president without any actual core beliefs is super weird,” Travis concluded.
And Travis isn’t sure the real Kamala Harris will wear well with the American people.
