The View is one of the many media properties struggling to find its footing in the wake of Donald Trump’s re-election win.
But no one could have predicted this.
And this co-host from The View made a promise to Donald Trump that will knock your socks off.
The View co-host promises to wear a MAGA hat on the air
ABC is reportedly looking to bring a pro-Trump woman to fill one of the seats on The View.
For the last three years, Never-Trumpers Ana Navarro-Cárdenas and Alyssa Farah Griffin occupied the “Republican” seat on The View.
Ratings plummeted to around 2,000,000 viewers per episode.
In the wake of Donald Trump winning both the popular vote and the Electoral College, producers realized that if the show wanted to regain some semblance of credibility as well its audience, it needed to make changes.
That’s why executives are looking to hire a pro-Trump conservative.
But there is only so much airtime and so many seats.
A new pro-Trump conservative woman would threaten the spots of Navarro-Cárdenas and Griffin.
Alyssa Farah Griffin starts changing her tune
Griffin – who worked for Trump before turning against him following the events of January 6, in a move critics claimed was motivated by her career prospects – seemed to sing a different tune about the President-elect.
In a discussion about how the world treated Trump as functionally the sitting President when Trump attended the reopening of Notre Dame cathedral in France, Griffin expressed optimism about a Trump Presidency.
“It’s important that not just America’s allies are watching, but America’s adversaries are watching that moment. And the world was watching this election, waiting with bated breath to know it was going to happen,” Griffin began.
“And to know that there’s a peaceful transition of power, that despite my warnings and others about my concerns about Donald Trump, which are still very real, that America’s going to move forward, and that the First Lady is going to be able to be cordial to him on the world stage,” Griffin added.
Griffin noted that Trump is beginning to take charge in foreign affairs and that she is rooting for Trump to succeed.
“Also, at the outskirts of this, he met with Macron and Zelensky and talked about the war in Ukraine. And that’s something I care deeply about, and I want Donald Trump to come around to perhaps continuing to support Ukraine and standing by the U.S.’s position,” Griffin continued.
Griffin even declared that if Trump achieved his stated goal of negotiating a deal that ended the war in Gaza with Hamas releasing all hostages remaining in captivity, she would wear a MAGA hat on the air.
“So, my point when I say I’m not going to be apocalyptic, it’s not changing a tune. It’s not making every single thing a five-alarm fire. If he does good, if he gets the Israeli hostages out, I promise I will wear a MAGA hat for one day on this show and say, thank you for doing it,” Griffin concluded.
Alyssa Farah Griffin didn’t just suddenly come around on Donald Trump.
Had Trump not won the popular vote, Griffin and everyone else in the media would have been falsely claiming Trump exploited a so-called “loophole” to win the Presidency.
Trump winning the popular vote changed everything and forced the media to reckon with the fact that the resistance to Trump is a minority position in America.
And that’s bad for business in this current media climate.
