A Clinton official admitted something awful that no Democrat was prepared to hear

Mar 10, 2025

Democrats are sitting powerless in the minority in Washington, D.C.

The party is trying to regroup.

And a Clinton official admitted something awful that no Democrat was prepared to hear.

Democrats are irrelevant according to a Clinton pollster

President Donald Trump gave an address to a joint session of Congress where Democrats embarrassed themselves by trying to disrupt him.

Representative Al Green (D-TX) was removed from the House chambers after he heckled Trump while waving his cane around.

Democrat Members of Congress waved signs with lame slogans “No King!” and staged organized walkouts throughout the address.

This political stunt became the latest failed attempt at resisting Trump by Democrats.

Democrat pollster Doug Schoen – who worked for President Bill Clinton – said that his party had become unrecognizable during an appearance on Fox News.

Fox News host John Roberts noted that Schoen wrote an opinion piece where he admitted he had “increasing difficulty” remaining a Democrat and asked him why he was still hanging on.

“Well, it’s a good question, John. It remains one that is in active review. I can say I’m not a Republican,” Schoen replied. “I disagree with many of the policies that President Trump so articulately outlined, and think he’s gone too far.”

Schoen noted that Democrats refuse to offer solutions to voters.

“But that being said, my party is not doing what Bill Clinton did when the Gingrich revolution came in 1994, which is to offer a set of alternatives that recognize the American people want border security, a reduction in inflation, tougher policies on crime, and immigration reform. Until we do that as a party, we Democrats remain irrelevant, sadly,” Schoen stated.

Democrats have no plan or message moving forward

The 2024 Election left Democrats without a clear-cut leader in the party.

Democrats are struggling to come up with a message and haven’t offered voters an alternative agenda to Trump’s.

Schoen argued that this party learned nothing from the last election.

“The answer is no one is,” Schoen stated. “And if anyone knows who that person is, I would love to be introduced to them and to tell them that whatever strategy they think they are articulating is plain wrong. We are a rudderless party without leadership, without ideas, without policies and certainly without messages.”

“Somebody postulated that maybe it’s a Republican who is guiding them,” Roberts joked.

Congressional Democrats aren’t dealing with a problem with their base in addition to Republican control in Washington, D.C.

The party’s base wants to see Democrat leadership get more aggressive in fighting back against Trump.

Left-wing activist group Indivisible has been urging Democrat voters to pressure Members of Congress.

“People are angry, scared, and they want to see more from their lawmakers right now than floor speeches about Elon Musk,” Indivisible co-founder Leah Greenberg told Axios. “Indivisible is urging people who are scared to call their member of Congress, whether they have a Democrat or Republican, and make specific procedural asks.”

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) is “very frustrated” at groups like Indivisible for stirring up voters.

The Democrat Party is dealing with infighting while it struggles to come up with a message or an agenda.
