The media has become the public relations outfit for the Democrat Party.
But their bias extends beyond what’s shown on the air.
And a CBS reporter exposed how the network buried this bombshell story to hurt Donald Trump.
CBS shut down reporting on Hunter Biden’s laptop before the 2020 Election
The bombshell story about Hunter Biden’s laptop was poised to be the ultimate October surprise in the 2020 Election.
But the story was falsely discredited and censored on social media after it was labeled as Russian disinformation.
The Big Tech censorship of the Hunter Biden laptop story gets the lion’s share of the attention but the media played a key role in shutting down reporting on it.
Former CBS News investigative reporter Catherine Herridge was one of the few honest journalists in network news after she came over from Fox News.
Herridge was working on the Hunter Biden laptop story for CBS News in October 2020 and verified that the contents on it were true.
She went to CBS News executive Ingrid Ciprian-Matthews and CBS Evening News anchor Norah O’Donnell in October 2020 to present evidence that the laptop contained explosive information about Hunter Biden, including records of him receiving a one million dollar retainer from a Chinese energy company.
O’Donnell confirmed her bias this election moderating the Vice Presidential debate between U.S. Senator J.D. Vance (R-OH) and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz.
The fix was in with CBS News to help Joe Biden
Former President Donald Trump had a heated interview on 60 Minutes in October 2020 where correspondent Lesley Stahl pushed back on Hunter Biden’s laptop by claiming the contents were unverified.
Herridge watched the interview in horror.
“As I watched the broadcast, I felt sick,” Herridge wrote in her newsletter. “I knew the laptop records could be vetted and confirmed.”
“I was confused by what seemed a disconnect between the CBS News division and 60 Minutes,” Herridge added.
CBS News took two years before the network confirmed that the laptop’s contents were real in a segment.
That report conveniently came in November 2022 after that year’s Midterm Elections.
Ciprian-Matthews reached out to Herridge after Trump’s 60 Minutes interview in October 2020 to ask if she had “confirmed reporting” on the laptop for a story that was going to air on CBS Evening News.
Herridge told her that she contacted people mentioned in emails and text messages found on Biden’s laptop to confirm their authenticity, looked at court records, and worked her sources.
“I told Ciprian-Matthews the vetted materials included a million dollar retainer from a Chinese energy firm, emails with Hunter Biden’s former business partner Tony Bobulinski as well as Hunter Biden text messages,” Herridge said.
She showed some of the work she had done to confirm the information on the laptop to Ciprian-Matthews.
CBS News never aired a story with her reporting on the laptop before the 2020 Election.
“I don’t know at this point what happened,” Herridge said.
CBS News buried the Hunter Biden laptop because it didn’t want to hurt President Joe Biden politically in the final weeks of the 2020 Election.
