Joe Biden’s Green New Deal is deader than a doornail
Former President Joe Biden piled on the regulations and spent trillions of dollars trying to advance his Green New Deal policies.
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) became his go-to agency for implementing the most extreme parts of his Green New Deal agenda that could never pass Congress.
New EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin vowed that Biden’s “Green New Scam” was going to be dismantled under the Trump administration during an appearance on Fox News Channel’s The Ingraham Angle.
Host Laura Ingraham played a clip of Representative Chellie Pingree (D-ME) fretting over the Trump administration’s handling of climate change.
“[The] Republican majority is giving the administration a free pass to abandon programs that protect the public from pollution, that safeguard human health and that address the climate crisis,” Pingree ranted.
Ingraham asked him for his reaction.
“The death of the Green New Scam is upon us, and there are people who are congressional Democrats who are not going to be happy with our actions,” Zeldin stated.
Biden’s Green New Deal policies are driving up the cost of living for hardworking Americans and businesses.
“I am here to fight for, as part of that Trump mandate earned November 5, the people across this country who have seen a Green New Deal that, if fully implemented, will cost tens of trillions of dollars,” Zeldin vowed. “People who cannot afford to be able to heat their home, to purchase a car. Small businesses are struggling to operate. People have been put out of work, and it’s going to end.”
Trump’s EPA ends corrupt taxpayer handouts
The Biden EPA was transformed into a political activist organization that used climate change as cover to take care of his political allies.
Zeldin canceled over 400 Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) grants along with environmental justice grants that cost taxpayers nearly $2 billion.
“This whole grift of being able to get tens of billions of dollars of tax dollars to your friends, it’s over,” Zeldin explained. “They’re not giving their friends, you know, $100,000 here or $2 million there. They’re giving friends billions of dollars.”
The Biden EPA used the $27 billion Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund established by the Inflation Reduction Act as a slush fund to funnel money to Democrat donors and party insiders.
Young, Gifted & Green CEO LaTricea Adams received a $20 million environmental justice grant for her group from the fund while she was serving on Biden’s Environmental Justice Advisory Council.
The Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund and its recipients are the subject of an active FBI criminal investigation.
Zeldin has stopped this scheme dead in its tracks.
“One of my very top priorities at EPA is to be an excellent steward of your hard-earned tax dollars. There will be zero tolerance of any waste and abuse,” Zeldin wrote on X. “We will review every penny that has gone out the door. The days of irresponsibly shoveling boat loads of cash to far-left activist groups in the name of environmental justice and climate equity are over.”
The days of the EPA being used as a slush fund are coming to an end.
