Donald Trump won a showdown with a foreign leader that left Democrats stunned

The days of other countries walking all over the White House are over.

Everyone knows that there’s a new sheriff in town.

And Donald Trump won a showdown with a foreign leader that left Democrats stunned.

Venezuela agrees to accept deportation flights from the United States

President Donald Trump’s plan for the mass deportation of illegal aliens was dealing with a major obstacle.

Venezuelan socialist dictator Nicolás Maduro refused to accept the return of his citizens who were deported from the United States as illegal aliens.

Maduro emptied the prisons and insane asylums in Venezuela and ordered hundreds of thousands of citizens to never return to the country.

Over 500,000 Venezuelans illegally immigrated to the United States under former President Joe Biden.

Biden rolling out the welcome for illegal aliens allowed the ultraviolent Venezuelan prison gang Tren de Aragua to stroll across the border.

Deporting Tren de Aragua gang members has been a top priority for Border Czar Tom Homan.

Presidential Envoy for Special Missions Richard Grenell announced that an agreement had been reached with Venezuela to resume deportation flights from the United States.

The Trump administration was previously considering deporting illegal aliens from Venezuela to other countries.

“I am pleased to announce that Venezuela has agreed to resume flights to pick up their citizens who broke U.S. Immigration Laws and entered the U.S. illegally,” Grenell wrote on X.

A major victory for Trump’s deportation goals

Venezuela was the country with the most illegal aliens in the United States who refused to cooperate on deportations.

Heritage Foundation Border Security and Immigration Center visiting fellow John Fabbricatore said this was important for the Trump administration’s deportation plan.

“President Trump has continued to work diligently to ensure that deportation flights continue to countries that have been recalcitrant in the past,” Fabbricatore said. “Venezuela’s acceptance of these flights allows for a smooth deportation process and shorter, overall detention time.”

Trump was able to play hardball during his first term with longstanding sanctions on the Maduro government and using the country’s oil business as leverage to exert pressure on the socialist dictator.

The pressure was dropped on the Maduro regime when Biden took office.

Biden relaxed sanctions on the Venezuelan oil industry, one of the regime’s few sources of income, in exchange for promises of holding free and fair elections.

Maduro won a rigged election last year that was widely thought to have had voter fraud.

“We are hereby reversing the concessions that Crooked Joe Biden gave to Nicolás Maduro, of Venezuela, on the oil transaction agreement,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “The regime has not been transporting the violent criminals that they sent into our Country (the Good Ole’ U.S.A.) back to Venezuela at the rapid pace that they had agreed to. I am therefore ordering that the ineffective and unmet Biden ‘Concession Agreement’ be terminated as of the March 1st option to renew.”

Putting the squeeze on Venezuela’s oil business caused Maduro to have a change of heart.

The Trump administration scored another victory when the Venezuelan dictator freed six American citizens who were imprisoned by his regime.

Donald Trump once again proved that playing hardball works with tinpot dictators.
