But that is forcing Ocasio-Cortez out of her comfort zone.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez doubles and triples down on open borders
Illegal border crossings plummeted 95 percent since President Trump took office.
That stat proved once and for all that the border crisis of the last four years was a conscious policy choice by Joe Biden and Kamala Harris to flood the country with 12,000,000 illegal aliens.
Biden opening the border so record numbers of illegal aliens could march into the country helped splinter the Democrat Party coalition as Donald Trump won 46 percent of Latinos and 21 percent of black men as part of a multi-racial working-class revolt against the Democrat Party.
National Public Radio host Steve Inskeep asked Ocasio-Cortez the natural question about the Democrat Party’s insistence on open borders and amnesty as a political liability.
“To what extent is immigration, as an issue, part of your problem with working-class voters?” Inskeep inquired.
Ocasio-Cortez showed the Left is likely to spend an extended time in the wilderness, as she wouldn’t even concede that the Democrat Party’s support for flooding the country with 10,000,000 illegal aliens was an issue.
“I guess my question would be, what does the word ‘problem’ mean?” Ocasio-Cortez replied.
“People voting for the other side and not for you,” Inskeep responded.
Ocasio-Cortez then engaged in the spin job of all spin jobs as she tried to argue what really angered the voting public was a lack of progress towards an amnesty bill.
“I think that we have a problem on immigration because of the lack of progress that we’ve had on this issue, and as we know, Republicans weaponize that lack of progress,” Ocasio-Cortez stated.
Ocasio-Cortez then dove even further down a rabbit hole of the absurd by claiming Republicans didn’t want to solve the illegal immigration problem.
“It is a problem not just for Democrats, it’s a problem for the entire country that Republicans do not want to solve,” Ocasio-Cortez continued.
Inskeep pushed back noting that President Trump’s solution was mass deportations, a position that polls show a majority of Americans support.
“Well they do want to address undocumented people by removing them, I mean that’s what the president is attempting now,” Inskeep replied.
Ocasio-Cortez then veered into incoherence, claiming mass deportations only benefited the private prison industry.
“So they are actually creating-it’s not even about creating a deportation pipeline, they are creating a private prison camp pipeline, so they are still creating pipelines to just increase this problem here in the United States,” Ocasio-Cortez added.
Ocasio-Cortez then wound up back at her original point, claiming the only reason Republicans found political success in attacking Democrats over the issue of illegal immigration was because they blocked amnesty bills from passing Congress.
“I think that a lack of a path to citizenship in the United States, the lack of addressing comprehensive immigration reform creates a large population of undocumented people in the United States and that is allowed to be weaponized in many ways,” Ocasio-Cortez concluded.
Open borders and amnesty are two of the most unpopular positions held by the Democrat Party.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez digging in to fight on these fronts shows the Left won’t be shedding this political deadweight anytime soon.
