Democrats ran Hillary Clinton and Kamala Harris solely because they thought America needed to elect a woman President.
Donald Trump defeated them both.
But now Jesse Watters predicted this woman would be the first female President.
Jesse Watters predicts Megyn Kelly will be the first female President
If there is one thing you can count on in Washington, D.C., it’s that everyone is always looking forward to the next election.
That’s certainly true of the media as well.
Over on The Five, the co-hosts gave their very early analysis on the state of play for 2028.
One big reason President Trump raced to implement his agenda through a shock and awe campaign is that Trump knows time is working against him.
If there was any clearer example of that, it would be The Five trying to game out the 2028 Democrat and Republican Primaries one month into Trump’s second term.
The co-hosts discussed the possibility of Kamala Harris, California Governor Gavin Newsom, or ESPN commentator Stephen A. Smith running on the Democrat side.
Jesse Watters said that was nice and all, but he wanted to shift gears to the GOP where he gave Vice President Vance the early frontrunner states as Trump’s successor.
“I’m more interested on the Republican side. J.D. Vance did a great job the other day in Europe, and he’s probably got the advantage,” Watters stated.
But then Watters threw two curveballs.
Watters dropped a bombshell predicting Megyn Kelly would run and become the first female President, as Kelly had the charisma, biography, stage presence, and conservative chops to run an outsider campaign like Donald Trump did in 2016.
“I think Megyn Kelly could be President. She is very smart. She’s a great debater. She’s got a good family. She’s telegenic and she’s a woman. And why not now? Why not have the first female President! A Republican! I think she’ll do a great job also,” Watters declared.
Watters also tagged Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth as Presidential timber as Watters believed Hegseth’s mission to fire woke Generals – President Trump removed pro-DEI Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff CQ Brown – and rebuilding the military into a lethal fighting force would elevate Hegseth to rockstar status on the Right.
“I think having said that, if he does a nice job at the Pentagon over the next four years, Hegseth could make a run. And I think he’d do an excellent job as commander-in-chief. There’s a lot of people out there. I don’t think the Democrats are going to nominate a woman. They tried it twice, hasn’t worked,” Watters concluded.
The 2028 GOP Primary will likely go one of two ways.
Should President Trump succeed in securing the border – illegal crossings are already down 94 percent since he took office – getting inflation under control, and restoring normalcy as well as prosperity to America, the GOP Primary will turn into the J.D. Vance invitational, and Vance won’t face any serious competition.
But should the Deep State succeed in sabotaging Donald Trump’s Presidency, the nominating contest will turn into a free for all as every Republican under the sun throws their hat in the ring.
And the Never-Trump RINO establishment will marshal all its might to push their candidate through to take back control of the party from Trump and his conservative supporters.
